Not a violation of the username policy. Real names are permitted except when they imply that the editor is a specific living person they are not. Consider filing a report at the conflict of interest noticeboard. I'm not sure how one would verify the identity of a peace activist. ✠ I'm not one to make the call here but generally if I see someone with something that looks like this, it's not going to give me a warm fuzzy feeling. It's generally pretty associated with nazi's, and I think saying "it might be some other cross" is a bit of a stretch. Sock-the-guy (talk) 00:02, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello. The code to create the supposed "iron cross" is the "maltese". It is available in Unicode as ✠. I have no intention to use ✠ as "iron cross" or other Nazi symbols. I used the ✠ symbol as it looks Christian and quite martial to me. In fact, the ✠ symbol is still being used by the Wehrmacht today, showing that ✠ is not a symbol for Nazism anymore. I am quite sure if ✠ is the symbol of Nazism the Germans would be the first to remove them from usage. I am not a supporter of Nazism. Thank you. SunDawn (talk) 01:40, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
@Sock-the-guy, for signatures, take it up with the editor on their talk page first next time. If the explanation isn't clear or to your satisfaction, the next venue is WP:ANI or WP:AN, depending on the urgency. – robertsky (talk) 01:50, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Requests for page protection
This page has an administrative backlog that requires the attention of willing administrators. Please replace this notice with {{no admin backlog}} when the backlog is cleared.
Place requests for protection increases at the BOTTOM of this section. If you cannot find your request, check the archive of requests or, failing that, the page history. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
I would like to request that The neutral source mentioned in casualities and losses on Indian side isn't credible enough, the author seems to b referring to Pakistan's initial claims of 5 indian aircrafts shot down which has been challenged around globe due to lack of evidence. Other sources like Washington post and Reuters
claims atleast 2 indian jets shot down which is in line with the wider neutral international narrative and evidence present. Hence, I would request to change the claims in the section and cite these sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PrinceVK5 (talk • contribs) 04:44, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
I want to create a new article or subtopic, labelled, "History of Fraud". The reason that I want to do this, is because according to the legal definition of securities fraud, Elon Musk has done exactly that. For example, the 420 funding secured tweet, met the threshold for securities fraud per the Federal Judge overseeing the trial: "No reasonable jury could find that Mr. Musk did not act recklessly given his clear knowledge of the discussions," the judge added. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/court-says-musk-recklessly-tweeted-that-funding-secured-taking-tesla-private-2022-05-11/
The entire reason that the 420 funding secured tweet was made, was for one purpose. To cause short sellers to lose money. Elon Musk had been threatening them for literally months. When he did that, short sellers lost billions of dollars. The only way to manipulate the stock price was to make a knowingly false statement, and Tesla at the time was about 6 weeks from bankruptcy unless they ramped the Model 3.
None of this is documented in his wikipedia page - in fact, the 420 tweet is a literal footnote. For example, saying every single year "I really believe that later this year we'll have Full Self Driving robotaxis" to pump a stock price and keep it elevated is securities fraud. Why does he do this? If tesla has an elevated stock price, he can pay people with stock because the company itself has no cash flows. the Q4 2023 increase in net income was fraud. That's been extensively covered, etc, etc. Editor111111112 (talk) 18:27, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

I am autopatrolled and an NPP reviewer; I would actually like to nominate User:Kjansen86 to be autopatrolled. I just reviewed and cheerfully accepted almost a dozen perfectly-formulated articles on Zoroastrian texts, and they have made more than 25 overall. Looking at their talk page, this appears to be an experienced and effective editor. Checking their AfD stats, I find one (successful) AfD that they initiated, indicating an awareness of notability. We may as well take them out of the NPP backlog. (This is my first time nominating someone else so if I did it wrong, please let me know!) ~ L 🌸 (talk) 21:17, 16 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I have created over 30 articles, none of which have been deleted. I am well-versed in Wikipedia's notability guidelines and currently assist new Burmese editors. I focus on creating articles related to Myanmar that need to be written, including those covering current events. Granting me autopatrolled rights would help reduce the backlog of articles awaiting review. Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. Thank you for your consideration. Hteiktinhein (talk) 14:43, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment) At the pace this editor is creating, I would expect granting the flag to help reduce the backlog. These are solid articles; talk pages are created, which helps as well. I am AGF'ing on the Burmese language sources but have no concerns. @Hteiktinhein, a couple nits: on Padein Prince rebellion, the section of "Members" with an unexplained bulleted list is a bit confusing, and on Thetpan Mibaya, the "see also" section should go above the references section per MOS:LAYOUT. But these are just small things to keep in mind for the future. Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:51, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
@Dclemens1971 Thank you very much for your kind comment on my contributions. I plan to continue creating more content related to Burmese history, especially topics that are still missing from the English Wikipedia.
Although access to Wikipedia has been banned in Myanmar across all language versions, I am able to contribute using the ipblock-exempt right.
Please don't worry about the Burmese-language sources — I have substantial knowledge of Burmese history, particularly the Konbaung era, and I have access to both online and offline versions of the Konbaung Chronicle and other historical texts. I appreciate your helpful notes regarding some minor issues in my articles, such as the structuring of See also sections and now fixed, and I'll certainly keep them in mind going forward. Best regards. Hteiktinhein (talk) 16:50, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello, may I ask what the issue is? There doesn’t seem to be any problem on my side, and all the other users who applied at the same time have already been granted the rights. Why am I the only one delayed? Hteiktinhein (talk) 03:04, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello @Hteiktinhein, I would like to know why you believe [1] is reliable? The website does not scream 'journalistic rigour' to me, but might be a subject-matter expert? More concerning, it seems some of the paragraphs in Areindama do not have citations. Could you commit to using inline citations for each paragraph?
In terms of why it takes a while: some admins look at all the requests here, whereas others might only have a bit of time and look for requests in topic areas they're more familiar with, to quickly make a decision. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 19:36, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
@Femke 🐦, Thank you for your question. Of course, မြန်မာသံတော်ဆင့် (The Myanmar Herald) was a well-known and one of the oldest daily newspapers in Myanmar. I admit that some Myanmar newspapers have poor-quality digital publishing, which is partly due to the country being a developing nation.
I understand that the website for The Myanmar Herald (https://myanmartandawsint.wordpress.com/) has a poor design and uses a free domain like WordPress. While the site has not been updated in a long time, it is still accessible. I'd also like to refer to this Myanmar Now article ([2]) for more details about the newspaper’s history and its legacy. However, I believe that using a free domain or having a simple web design does not mean the newspaper itself is not notable or reliable. We should not judge the reliability of a publication solely based on its web domain or appearance. So I don’t think that’s a valid concern.
As for your other question — “It seems some of the paragraphs in the Areindama article do not have citations” — that's correct. I didn’t include citations in certain paragraphs:
The introduction, because it is a summary.
The quote paragraphs, because I didn’t want to insert citation tags (like [ ]) directly beside quotes. Instead, I placed a colon (":") above the quote to indicate the source was referenced in the sentence above.
The analysis paragraph, because it is a general analysis based on facts already cited earlier in the article.
If you’d like to verify anything, please feel free to ask other respected Burmese editors such as User:Htanaungg or User:EmeraldRange.
Happy with the Herald. About the uncited paragraphs, those analysis paragraphs do need a citation to prevent the impression of WP:SYNTH. When you say it's analysis based on facts cited before: is that your analysis or one of the cited sources? Why not cite these sources? —Femke 🐦 (talk) 06:44, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
@Femke Thank you for your appreciation of my answer. Regarding the reference for the analysis section, please see Tin Naing Toe (2013), သမိုင်းအတွေး သမိုင်းအရေး, Lin Lun Khine, pp. 34–41, which was already cited in the origin section. According to the first half of page 41, historian Tin Naing Toe discusses the origin of the spear and argues that it is based on legend rather than historical fact. I believed that citing it in the origin section would suffice and unintentionally left it out of the analysis paragraph. I’ve now added it there as well, along with an additional reference for support.
If you have any questions about my work, please feel free to ask. Thank you! Hteiktinhein (talk) 09:44, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment) Reviewed the last several articles, and while your grasp of notability is strong, I did find an instance of WP:CLOP on your most recent creation that is very close to the line of copyvio if not over it. See Copyvio Detector results. This article is otherwise very well done! Two other things to consider when creating articles: create talk pages (the WP:RATER tool is helpful here) and make sure at least one other page links to yours. If you were to be autopatrolled, orphaned pages would likely stay orphaned longer. Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:19, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Those don't look like the sort of changes AWB can be used to make. AWB does have a regex-based typo fixing tool, but those aren't the sort of typos it fixes but instead grammar changes requiring human judgement. And one of them is done with another script, which makes even less sense to showcase as something you would use AWB to do. That, and the fact that you only used rollback twice shortly after I granted it too weeks ago and never again, has finally failed to convince me you are qualified for AWB: Not done* Pppery *it has begun... 18:56, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I would like to request New Page Reviewer rights. I have some experience as an Articles for Creation (AfC) reviewer and have gained a good understanding of Wikipedia’s notability, sourcing, and content policies. Thank you Endrabcwizart (talk) 16:30, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia and your interest in this permission. In reviewing your track record thus far, however, I'm a bit concerned by both a very low AfD match rate, and the final exchange between you and Alalch E. in this AfD. A lot of the material in question is old enough that this isn't necessarily a dealbreaker, but the recent comment at AfD (even if it is about an article you created much earlier), coupled with the lack of more recent evidence of a strong record in AfD and/or article creation, I ultimately have to mark this as Not done. Please consider reapplying once you've built up a more recent track record of constructive AfD participation (or other edits that demonstrate a clear understanding of the relevant guidelines and policies). signed, Rosguilltalk 20:02, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I’d like to request New Page Patroller rights. I’ve created 24 articles, all of which meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines, and I have a solid understanding of notability across a range of topics. I was recently granted AfC reviewer rights and have begun actively reviewing drafts. While my reviews aren’t high in quantity yet, I believe they reflect careful, quality work aligned with Wikipedia policies.
I also participate in AfD discussions and have experience in both deletions and retentions based on consensus and policy. Additionally, I’ve improved a number of unsourced articles by adding reliable citations.
I’d like to disclose that, if granted NPP rights, I will primarily focus on India-related topics, as I have strong familiarity with reliable Indian sources and local context. I believe it’s best to patrol within areas where I can apply sound judgment and avoid risky decisions.
I’m open to feedback or a trial period. Thank you. Afstromen (talk) 12:49, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Recreating Spinny (company) despite Spinny being salted seems like something that should be a total deal-breaker here. But I don't normally get involved in this area so will let another admin make a final decision. * Pppery *it has begun... 14:41, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
@Pppery, I’ve posted a note on the talk page of Spinny (company) to clarify my intention. I genuinely believe the subject is notable, based on significant coverage in reliable, independent sources.
To be honest, I wasn’t aware that when a title is protected, there are specific procedures to follow before recreating the article. As soon as I realized the situation, I added a note on the talk page to be transparent and open to community input.
I’d appreciate any guidance on what the appropriate process is in such cases especially when a title has been salted. My goal is to contribute constructively and in line with Wikipedia’s policies
Frankly, this isn't convincing. The mindset that one sees that one is prohibited from doing something, and then tries to do it anyway through the back door is not the mindset we want to have in new page reviewers. It gives the appearance of being holier-than-thou. * Pppery *it has begun... 15:16, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
I shared my intentions honestly, and I truly didn’t realize that what I did was against the guidelines. If this has caused any concern about trust, I understand, but I want to make it clear that it wasn’t intentional. I know how important it is that all contributions follow policy and are made in good faith. I respect your decision and will be more careful in the future.
In the future, the WP:SALTing needs to be removed (via asking the protecting admin on their user talk, or via WP:RFUP) rather than putting an article at a non-ideal title. The title is non ideal because "(company)" is an unnecessary disambiguator in this case. Disambiguators should only be used if there are multiple articles with the same name. –Novem Linguae (talk) 04:52, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
I’ll make sure to be more careful about this in the future. Thank you for pointing it out.

I would like to continue reviewing new pages and also accept/deny AFC pages. I've created 90+ pages and am familiar with content policies. CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 14:15, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
Requesting New Page Patroller permissions. I have over a decade of activity on Wikipedia, with 4,400+ live edits (99.4% of my edits are "live"). I have created three (proper) articles. I became more active in the last 1-2 years. I believe I meet and exceed the minimum criteria.
That said, my weakest areas would probably be CSD and PROD. However, I am familiar with both, I've just had my hands full with AfC reviews and AfD contributions. I otherwise have relatively extensive discussion experience with no disciplinary action taken against me. Thank you for your time and consideration. MWFwiki (talk) 20:28, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

I've found myself making semi-regular requests at WP:RM/TR (7 in the last two years, 13 overall). I feel like this is one of the things I could just handle myself instead of bothering others with, and could potentially help out with as I see fit. I don't currently plan on closing any RM discussions, but I am very familiar with WP:NCTV, which is my main topic area, that I rarely branch out out of, and the general policy laid out at WP:NC. Hello! I am requesting the pending changes reviewer right to help the project. I have read through all the relevant policys and have been patroling recent changes for a while now. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Please ping me to notify me of comments or a decision here. Macaw* 17:59, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights:
To expand my tool belt as an extended confirmed recent changes patroller, and to more quickly afford new users their non policy breaking contribution. I have currently no sanctions against me and I think I understand wiki policy well enough for it. Thank you JamesEMonroe (talk) 20:02, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
(Post edit) When using this perm, I will take extra care. I think I have met requirements in WP:PCCRITERIA and have reviewed Wikipedia policy. Also please consider older reverts as well or when I took the time to explain things to new users. JamesEMonroe (talk) 21:27, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
I am requesting this right so that I can more easily revert vandalism. If you have looked at my user page, one of the main things I do is revert vandalism. This right, while not making it easier to do so, would give me a different way to do so. I think I have met requirements in WP:PCCRITERIA and have reviewed Wikipedia policy. My account is pretty new, but that is because I just got back into editing Wikipedia. I had an account when I lived in Chicago that had over a year experience. I could not longer access that account because I have forgotten the username and password. Again, I think this would be a good opportunity for me to do something I love in a different way. Whatever your decision is, thank you for considering. ExplorerofSpace (talk) 20:12, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello all, I was wondering if any administrators have reviewed this user right request page. Thanks for any help. ExplorerofSpace (talk) 21:04, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
I am requesting pending changes reviewer rights so I can make good meaningful changes for Wikipedia on behalf of anonymous editors because they are the majority of editors and deserve a non-vandalism say in Wiki editing too. WikiEditor5678910 (talk) 13:43, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment)Hi, WikiEditor5678910! The pcr permission doesn't mean that you are actually making edits on behalf of the IP editors. Using this permission you can accept revisions or revert them. You make edits on their behalf when they request it. Ɔþʱʏɾɪʊs⚔ 06:28, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
I want to have this permission to reduce the pending changes backlog. I reviewed all the guidelines, such as BLP and the guideline for referencing. I revert good faiths and obvious vandalism and warn the user right after. Although I cannot perform a rollback to the recent changes page to have a consecutive track record due to my device's limited capabilities. I would rather choose pending changes over rollback; with rollback, I must have track records of mass rollback vandalism. But since I understood the guideline of rollback and pending changes, I can assure you that I will be responsible for having this permission. — ArćRèv • talk 10:38, 24 May 2025 (UTC)

Reason for requesting rollback rights. Have undone multiple vandalism attempts on K. Chandrashekar Rao and Revanth Reddy. Having the rollback permission will be helpful to quickly revert multiple edits. Skratata69 (talk) 17:17, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
Not done Please get a little more experience with reverting vandalism and make sure to add warning messages when you make a revert, see WP:WARN for warning templates. This helps to correct behavior and provides the paper-trail necessary for a vandalism block. Malinaccier (talk) 14:47, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello, I will love to request for the rollback permission so I can help fight against vandalism and revert unconstructive edits, I’m also interested to use the wp:ANVDL tool to detect vandalism more easily. I believe meet the requirements and I took the feedbacks after my last request was declined over the last 1 month, I’ve been actively patrolling recent changes since then and I’m here again. Pinging Aoidh, @Pppery I’ll love your take, I’ve been waiting patiently too, I’ve improved over the last month and have been explaining reasons for my revert and warn editors. An admin should please evaluate my request so I can continue what I love doing. Chippla ✍️ - Best Regards 23:36, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
I'm looking for rollback perms so I can speed up my vandal reversion by using tools such as huggle. I don't have any issues with RedWarn but my more experienced friends tell me that huggle is much nicer and faster to use. (Arachnid's userpage | what did I do now) 00:05, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
Done While you do not have the typical one month of experience, I am going to enable this given your good antivandalism work. Malinaccier (talk) 14:55, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment): Hello, @PunjabiEditor69! I've checked your contributions was 16 undo edits and 444 namespace articles. I'm not ready to grant the permission. Next time you spend at least a month of experience patrolling; see Special:RecentChanges. Thanks! –HirowoWiki(📝) 10:49, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
Okay, I will apply after at least 30 days of experience patrolling. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 11:55, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
I wish to receive rollback rights to use Wikipedia:Huggle, Wikipedia:AntiVandal and some others, with this permission I could revert vandalism so much faster. Shahin (talk) 10:08, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
I respectfully request the rollback right to enhance my anti-vandalism efforts on Wikipedia. My monitoring of recent changes has enabled me to effectively identify and revert disruptive edits. The rollback feature would increase the efficiency of my contributions and help maintain content integrity. I recently made a request and they prompted me to spend more time on Recent Changes. I have spent more time and am requesting it again. I am requesting this to ease my job of reverting vandalism, especially at night when the IP's make a nuisance of Wikipedia. I have read Wikipedia policies, and think I have almost or have met the requirements listed for Rollback rights. Whatever your decision is, thank you. ExplorerofSpace (talk) 15:12, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

I am aware, but as I said in the previous request, I have had an account with over a year experience. The reason I could not access that is because I forgot the username and password. Also, my edits have never been reverted except when I was linking some words that were "common"; I have also like suggested in the last request reviewed recent changes for some more time. Is this enough to get the right? Thanks for your help. ExplorerofSpace (talk) 21:22, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
Unfortunately we have no way of proving that (anyone could make such a claim) and hence must only evaluate the edits you've made on this account when evaluating permission requests. * Pppery *it has begun... 00:54, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
