Bronek Masojada
@Edwardx - many thanks your attention to the Alderman Masojada article & I wholeheartedly agree with your amendments but I've just reinstated a link for BSc (as MPhil is also linked) and I've added the prefix of the Hon. before James Bruce as this provides relevant context (his daughter having married into a Scottish noble family). Hope you concur - many thanks. Best Primm1234 (talk) 10:40, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Malcolm Offord
@Edwardx - As far as I know, a life peerage is a noble title in the peerage of the United Kingdom. Please explain the reason for your edit!!??Gomach (talk) 15:57, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, Gomach. You added Malcolm Offord to Category:Nobility from Inverclyde. Life peers may technically be part of the British nobility, but we do not usually include them in such categories. And if life peers, why not non-hereditary knighthoods? This sort of approach simply leads to category clutter, with no real benefit. Edwardx (talk) 16:29, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

COI Request
Hi there @Edwardx and I hope you don't mind me reaching out to you. I'm a COI editor acting on behalf of Vladimir Stolyarenko and I noticed you reverted material which ran contrary to BLP policy on this article in July 2023. I was wondering whether you would mind reviewing some changes I have outlined in a request on the talk page? Thank you! Cebuharks (talk) 11:56, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- All of your sources are in Russian and changes that you are seeking appear to be quite subtle. I think you either need to find English language sources or reach out to a Russian speaking editor. Edwardx (talk) 12:11, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your quick response. I'll try and reach out to a Russian speaking editor who has been active on the page. Have a very good evening! Cebuharks (talk) 17:11, 11 February 2025 (UTC)

The article Anne Woods (gurner) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
One-source BLP for a sport that in itself is not so well sourced. Highly dubious notability when it could easily be covered in the main article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. VRXCES (talk) 03:54, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

Euphemism
Hello, please refrain from making mass edits to implement your preferred words. "Gaming" is not a euphemism for gambling, it is a long-established and widely-used definition of the word, dating back to before the word "gambling" was even coined. Toohool (talk) 16:14, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, Toohool. Please read gambling. In the instances where I have changed "gaming" to "gambling", it was being used euphemistically. There were even several instances of [[gambling|gaming]] in infoboxes, and that is clearly inappropriate. We also need to consider our global audience - outside the US, gambling is almost always called gambling. Edwardx (talk) 16:28, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- This is incorrect. The use of "gaming" with this definition is not "inappropriate" or euphemistic or US-centric, it is a common usage of the word dating back centuries, throughout the English-speaking world. Please do not edit war to impose your opinions about language usage en masse. Toohool (talk) 17:21, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
