Saving Bikini Bottom being Overwhelmingly Panned

[edit]

I wasn't very sure about putting a brief mention about Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie being overwhelmingly panned by fans as according to two sources I found that actually proved it. Though, there is one source that briefly does mention that. I didn't know what to do since the talk page there wasn't active. 2600:4041:528B:ED00:57D:320D:7A:722A (talk) 02:18, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit did not provide any sources, and whether "longtime fans" liked the film or not isn't necessarily notable. And you should indeed discuss this on the article's talk page. --ZimZalaBim talk 02:40, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

About Park Fire and The Toyota Yaris 2007

[edit]

Thank you for your response. I understand your concern regarding WP:OR and WP:SYNTH, but I would like to respectfully insist that my contribution was not intended to imply any direct connection between the fire and the recall. My goal was simply to provide additional context about a car model already mentioned in the article.

I’m aware that there are no reliable news sources explicitly linking the Toyota Yaris to this incident, but that may be due to a lack of public investigation or reporting on potential mechanical failures in this specific context. I am not trying to push a narrative, only to include a verifiable fact (the NHTSA recall) that may offer relevant technical background for readers.

I’d be happy to suggest a more neutral wording to maintain Wikipedia’s standards, and I welcome any suggestions on how to phrase it appropriately. Fernanda Tenerife (talk) 12:46, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If your goal is to provide "context about a car model already mentioned in the article" that's why the first mention of the car links to its own article. --ZimZalaBim talk 13:21, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Paige Bueckers

[edit]

On Paige Bueckers article you removed the Honors and Achievements writing player bios typically don't include this kind of list -- notable awards can be mentioned in the prose where appropriate But I added it based on what I saw on Sue Bird's article. Based on this, can I put it back? MaskedSinger (talk) 19:24, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'd take it up on the article's talk page, not here. But seems surperfulous and unsourced IMHO. --ZimZalaBim talk 19:26, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was already discussed on the talk page and the decision was that it should stay for now. And later if she warrants it, we'd create a standalone article like Caitlin Clark has. So because you removed it without any discussion on the talk page, I thought I'd raise it here with you directly. If I add sources for each of the achievements, that would be ok? MaskedSinger (talk) 07:35, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you feel it was already decided and I edited in error, then go ahead and correct it. --ZimZalaBim talk 11:08, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
ok thankyou. MaskedSinger (talk) 04:52, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns surrounding my upload of Jon Erik Hexums candid

[edit]

I noticed that this image https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Jon-Erik_Hexum_Candid.jpg was flagged by you due to concerns about its similarity to a photo on Listal. I want to clarify that the image I uploaded is not sourced from Listal, and that the one on Listal is a low quality, reupload of this. My friend posted that, whereas I uploaded the full, high resolution source here. The one on Listal is also missing many details that are visible on my upload. I can also show the full version of the photo, that includes Joan Collins to his right side, as well as some distant buildings and other press photographers. Fexbd (talk) 09:39, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Fexbd, are you asserting that you personally took that photograph in 1982? Cullen328 (talk) 09:50, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, yes I did. I scanned the photo onto my hard drive. I collected and purchased many photos and off shoots of Hexum before his demise. Fexbd (talk) 09:52, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fexbd, collecting and purchasing photos is not the same thing as taking photos. Did you hold your own camera and click the shutter with Hexum standing in front of you? Cullen328 (talk) 09:55, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Of course! That's what i've been trying to say, this is MY photo, which I uploaded onto a facebook private group around 10 years ago, and decided to publish it here as Hexums thumbnail, because his old photo by Jenkins looks sloppy. Fexbd (talk) 09:57, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Then mentioning collecting and purchasing photos was an unnecessary distraction. Cullen328 (talk) 10:00, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's before you told me purchasing photos was irrelevant, so I thank you for bringing me up to speed. I wanted to add context to show my history as a vivid collector of his photos, as well as being the one to take some candids of him during his time at Los Angeles. Fexbd (talk) 10:05, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
On the topic of this discussion, I added the proper licensing to the source material of the image page, which was flagged as I had forgotten to put anything there when uploading the photo. Is the photo liable to be removed from the deletion request? Fexbd (talk) 10:11, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this discussion on my talk page, and why is @Maclin Kane: signing posts with the non-existent Fexbd (talk · contribs) account? --ZimZalaBim talk 12:50, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Fexbd was my previous username, I changed it to my real name for clarity. Also, I put this here because it showed you were the one who raised the photo being similar to another one posted on listal.com, unless this is a mistake? Maclin Kane (talk) 12:55, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is the image's history and doesn't include me. That said, it seems really odd that you suddenly emerge here with an image that is strikingly similar to professional images from an event, and post an image that appears to have been published in a paper/magazine with a corner cut out to remove any other text, and then claim it is yours. --ZimZalaBim talk 13:02, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's because it is part of a clipping. And that is all there is left of the photo. Here's a cleaner copy that you won't find anywhere else. You can claim it as similar because those are high quality professional photos taken of him at the event, where this is just a random flash that never made it to official stock photography sites.

But I do apologise if you had nothing to do with this, it's just I'm quite new to this website and I thought you were the admin who scheduled it for deletion. I am sorry. However, I've since added the appropriate licensing releasing the photo to the public domain, as that was all that was asked for when I checked to avoid the deletion schedule. I looked online and it recommended me to check with an admin to see this through. Maclin Kane (talk) 13:21, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Here's another one I took, a few moments before the other one you saw. Not quite as flattering for Hexum. That's about it. I'm just trying to publicise a nice photo of him to replace his last one by Christie, as it's outdated and has served as his thumbnail for many years already. Maclin Kane (talk) 13:30, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I find it unlikely that you own the rights to the image -- if you even took it -- since it appears to have appeared in a print publication. You're suggesting that you are the photographer, that the image was published decades ago, and yet you retain the copyright, and now suddenly decided to upload it here? That just seems quite odd. --ZimZalaBim talk 19:45, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yes it's all a bit jumbled up and I appreciate it might appear confusing to you; here is where I originally posted it within a private Hexum fanclub group in 2015:
https://imgur.com/a/C9iPjoy
And yes, it does appear in a little snippet. I met with some journalists that day and that was my only photo that became publicised, on the basis of a non-exclusive editorial license. If memory serves I should be free to republish the photo now on this public domain, or at least that's what I've assumed. I've wanted to change Jons thumbnail photo here for a few years actually but could never understand the process to do so until now. Maclin Kane (talk) 20:14, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, there's no reason to assume this image is in the public domain. --ZimZalaBim talk 12:46, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Thank you Maclin Kane (talk) 12:51, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hank Shaw

[edit]

Just FYI, I have restored the Hank Shaw content to cream of sorrel soup. He won a James Beard Award for his wild foods blog and has published several cookbooks on the topic. jengod (talk) 23:20, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
