- Hello @Asilvering! Thanks - could I request you to reconsider this request? Please feel free to review my contribution history but I've contributed over 40+ live articles (5+ in last week) and would like to be able to assist with improved coverage of Biology and Medicine articles in AfC. Perhaps, I forgot to mention this but I used to be a AfC reviewer but became inactive, if that helps. If you'd like me to re-open the request, please let me know. Thanks Komodo (talk) 20:39, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I think you need some more recent experience before returning to roles like AfC reviewing, especially given the issues other editors have raised on your talk page. A lot of things have changed over the past decade. But when I say "come back", I do mean it. :) -- asilvering (talk) 04:51, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply! Sounds good - hopefully you'll be better convinced in a few weeks :) Komodo (talk) 07:08, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

- Hello, I would like to be a participant in the AFC reviewing process by clear the backlog using the AFC helper script. I believe I have met the following guidline of having a Wikipedia account at least 90 days old, a minimum of 500 undeleted edits to articles and I have read and understood the reviewing instructions. I also understand the policies and guidelines mentioned in the reviewing instructions, including notability, notability guidelines. I am also active daily. - I’m interested to be a part of WikiProject AfC reviewer. I’ve read and familiarized myself with Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines plus I carefully evaluate sources in line within notability standards. I’m ready to assist by reviewing drafts whether to accept or reject it and then improving its content. Imwin567 (talk) 08:11, 11 April 2025 (UTC)

- Hey, I'm interested in reviewing AfCs and would like to request access to this tool, as I believe that I have now gained enough experience to productively contribute here. I read and understood the relevant instructions, policies, and guidelines, and I satisfy the necessary formal requirements. Due to the current backlog, I believe that now would be a good time to start. On the question of relevant experience: I have created or translated eight articles, leading to two DYKs. Particularly in the first half of 2024, I have participated in what I believe is a sufficient number of AfDs (many of which have been contentious); excluding NC, the tool states that I have an 88,5 % match rate. I have also worked within a pretty contentious topic (I/P) without sanctions, and am active at RSN, which should indicate the ability to evaluate sources. Thank you! - I'll go by the criteria, which I hope is okay.
- My Wikipedia account is over 90 days old, nearing a year now.
- I do have 500+ undeleted edits, as of writing this close to 2,000 (98.1% of my total edits, as you can see here on my xtools) [1]
- I've fully read them, and have enabled the AfC helper script, also having read its instructions on how to use, when to use and why it may be useful.
- I read through the policies and guidelines in reviewing instructions, ensuring I understand them (including reFill). As for notability guidelines, I read through the main one I hope to be able to do (events, I'll elaborate on this later) and will remember to always refer to any of the notability guidelines in the future.
- I don't have much evidence of myself often trying to delete articles (at least not recently). However, I made sure to read through all the wikipedia guidelines relating to this and testing out how to use them to ensure I'm not confused when this does become relevant to me.
- I check Wikipedia quite frequently in case of any changes to for example my edits or mentions for discussions. I respond quite quickly, and I'm not a busy person at all, so I have quite a lot of time to do this.
Further information:
I feel that this project is something that would personally interest me. I've already spent my time before simply assessing articles (though not very recently, though it was definitely around 50 or so?). I do have my experience with helping inexperienced editors try and get into Wikipedia and teaching them multiple things that could help them. As for what I meant by being focused on events, I think you can see by my user profile I primarily deal with history (which I'd definitely say falls under events). I was wondering whether it's okay for me to mainly focus on that? If not for whatever reason, then I'll gladly make sure to spend my time checking out all sorts of articles for creation. However, this is just a personal preference. If you need to ask me anything further about this, go ahead! Setergh (talk) 10:06, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- I forgot to add, but I also do definitely have lots of experience with page creation in general and this project itself when I just started Wikipedia. You can see all of my pages (created or heavily revamped) on my userpage. Setergh (talk) 10:07, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

- Hello! I am interested in becoming an AfC reviewer. My account recently hit 90 days and I believe I meet the other requirements (details about contributions can be found on my user page). Full disclosure: I have 1 declined draft from when I thought National Academy of Medicine qualified for WP:NACADEMIC C3. If granted AfC permission I would defer to more experienced editors to determine which organizations are prestigious enough for C3, unless they are explicitly listed on the notability guidelines. - Hi! I would love to volunteer to be a AfC reviewer. I've made over 1,200+ edits and meet the requirements to be an AfC reviewer (500+ article edits and account at least 90 days old). I'm very familiar with WP:N, WP:NPOV, and WP:VERIFIABILITY. I'm usually active in combatting vandalism and proposing AfDs/PROD/CSD, but seeing the massive AfC backlog, I would love to help clean that up as I get more free time. I am aware of the duties of an AfC reviewer, and what to accept/deny (can this draft survive an AfD if accepted?, etc). All of the articles i've proposed to AfC have been accepted, and none of my articles have been deleted. Would love to join the force! WormEater13 (talk • contribs) 18:29, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

- Reason for requesting afc helper script rights
- I would like to help with reducing the AFC backlog by becoming an AFC reviewer. I have created six articles (one was created from a redirect) and contributed extensively to them to ensure that they do not fall afoul of the deletion policy. I've also experienced situations when new articles do not meet the requirements as, prior to my successful page creations, I had two declined through AFC several years ago and decided to not continue creating them due to a lack of SIGCOV. This demonstrates a clear understanding of Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. I have participated in several AfD discussions and am familiar with evaluating notability and reliability of sources. - Hi! I'm TheNuggeteer. I'm not really a new user, since I have been in Wikipedia for 1 year (albeit with breaks and other stuff). I'm experienced in notability and page deletion since I have created the deletion pages of about 15 pages. I have also created 86 articles and 7,000 edits. I actually had rights to AFC through being a new page reviewer but have lost them through a topic ban (a fault on my end). I want to regain my reviewing rights to help articles strive in Wikipedia. Thanks,
🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 (My "blotter")
03:19, 10 May 2025 (UTC)- I am going to have to think on this. On the one hand, you were only topic-banned for six months from reviewing pages, but on the other hand you were topic-banned from reviewing pages. There is also the issue of about ~10% of your articles being deleted. That being said your AFD stats are reasonable and it doesn't look like you broke your topic ban at any point. A review-after-trial-period might be in order. I'll try to make a final decision by next weekend, so please be patient. Primefac (talk) 13:27, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
Probation, which I want evaluated at the end of a month of reviewing. This is mandatory - please make a post when the time comes inviting reviews and commentary on your progress. If successful the usual probationary checks will then take place after the usual 3-6 month period. Primefac (talk) 00:32, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Over 90% of my edits are in the main namespace, and I've actively contributed to over 50 articles with 10+ edits each. I've participated in nearly 50 combined AfD, PROD, and AfC discussions, with a 92.9% alignment with final closures (excluding "No Consensus"). My approach to AfD is preservation through improvement where reliable sources exist, while at AfC, I focus on ensuring well-sourced content and supporting new editors. Being bilingual (English and German) helps with sourcing. I enjoy editing and appreciate the chance to make a meaningful impact. Given the backlog of over 3,000 pending AfC submissions, I believe I can help maintain high quality while reducing the queue. Thank you for your consideration. Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Primefac (talk) 00:32, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

- I’d like to help with reviewing new page creations; there are many new articles being created and I’m sure most of them are wonderful and deserve to be reviewed as possible additions. I’ve been an editor for a few years now, and I’d like to think I communicate well with others, which I’ve always appreciated when folks give me feedback (both on and off Wikipedia). I hope to lean into that strength a bit and use it encourage meaningful improvements to drafts when it seems like an article just needs that extra little bit of attention before hitting the main space. Not everything is worthy of addition of course, but I always appreciate the potential of someone new to a group/area/job/team who has that spark of “new-person-energy” that might just need some light steering into the proper direction where they can really shine. Not done for now, too many issues including not knowing GNG existed until two months ago. Primefac (talk) 00:32, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- I just want to state that in that message I mixed up Wikipedia:Game Guide with WP:GNG. I didn't notice that I mixed up the two in my message until it was too late. I knew about GNG, but didn't know about GAMEGUIDE. Mikeycdiamond (talk) 14:23, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- Fair enough, and I thought that was odd, but it was more the cherry and not the cake. Primefac (talk) 10:43, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

- I would like to request AfC reviewer rights. Initially, I misunderstood the requirement, thinking it pertained to 500 total edits. I have since learned that it specifically requires 500 undeleted edits in the article (main) namespace. I have now met this criterion. I have read and understood the reviewing instructions and am familiar with Wikipedia's content policies, including notability and verifiability. I am eager to assist in reviewing pending AfC submissions. Afstromen (talk) 09:31, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Primefac Hi there, just checking in on my AFC reviewer request. I’ve noticed that some users who applied after me have already been approved, so I was wondering if there’s a reason for the delay in my case. I’d appreciate any update when you get a chance. Thanks!

Not done for now; while you do technically meet the numeric threshold, you met that requirement in 2009 and haven't really edited since 2012. The article creation rules and guidelines have changed significantly since then, so you should really get some more experience with the new norms before re-requesting. - I'm an experienced editor with over 500 edits (mostly in article space) and a solid understanding of Notability guidelines and deletion policies, I've even deleted non-notable pages myself through AfD. I've created 25 main-space articles, all of which have been reviewed. I'd like to take on AFC Reviewer rights to help ease the workload by reviewing submitted drafts, providing feedback, and approving those that meet our guidelines. - PunjabiEditor69 (talk) 18:02, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

Not done, I am concerned with your multiply-declined draft in a short span of time. Primefac (talk) 11:26, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I understand your concern, but I want to clarify that the "multi-declined" draft was due to my early misinformation (which I’ll explain). If you look at the data, all those issues happened within my first month on Wikipedia, when I was just exploring as a newcomer with very little experience.
- When I joined, I wanted to create an article using the Article Wizard, and I chose my school—not knowing that doing so was a COI. I wasn’t aware of the relevant policies or guidelines back then. I submitted the draft, it was rejected, and I resubmitted it without changes. Again rejected. I contacted the reviewer, who said it lacked reliable sources with significant coverage. I didn’t understand what that meant, especially as no policy links were provided.
- Later, while editing my userpage, I clicked a red link and accidentally published a new page. I thought it was a shortcut to bypass draft review and publish directly. It was quickly flagged for speedy deletion. Then I created the draft again, which got a PROD notice. I removed the tag, thinking I needed to explain, but it was taken to AfD and flagged with multiple issues. That's when I finally understood it didn't meet Wikipedia’s standards—so I didn’t contest the AfD.
- Since then, I’ve studied the guidelines and actively participated in AfDs, which I believe shows my improved understanding.

- in short, I would like to say that the drafts declining happens when I was a newcomer, it doesn't apply to knowledge of deletion process and relevant policies, that I have now. VortexPhantom🔥 (talk) 15:16, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
