Why I edit

[edit]

I've been using Wikipedia for over 15 years. It’s my go-to for quick answers, exploring new topics, and fact-checking. At some point, I realized I could help improve it, not just use it. I like that Wikipedia is built on reliable sources and that anyone can pitch in. Even small edits can make a difference.

What I edit

[edit]

With a background in STEM, I naturally gravitate toward topics that explain how things work. My interests include algorithmic and data biases in AI, ethics in technology, cybersecurity, and renewable energy. I focus on expanding science and technology articles, joining deletion discussions (AfDs), reviewing articles for creation (AfCs), and occasionally rescuing articles proposed for deletion (PRODs).

Citation Watchlist project

[edit]

In 2025, Wikimedia CH awarded a tech grant to the Citation Watchlist project (WP:WATCHCITE), an initiative to strengthen Wikipedia’s citation integrity by providing editors with real-time monitoring for problematic citations. The tool works by adding helpful visual alerts right into editing workflows, making it easier to spot and fix unreliable sources. I oversee the project’s progress in a volunteer capacity.
