Hello! Could you please review another page as well?

Hey @Vanderwaalforces. Happy to see you supporting the articles I've been contributing. I really appreciate it. Means a lot. Thanks for reviewing my last page.

I was checking if you'd be able to review one of the latest page I've created about an actor Ankith Madhav. He appeared in Poacher series. Made a Wikipedia about him since he did not had any, and I've added his name to couple of films he was in as well. I'm also planning on working on Sreeleela's page since It looks like it needs improvement. Thanks a bunch. IcedKoffee (talk) 16:36, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

Hi there. I wasn't able to verify the date of birth you put, where did you get it from? Also, citation 1 and 8 are the same, why not reuse citation 1 in the citation 8 position, instead of putting it as a new reference? Vanderwaalforces (talk) 08:51, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Hello! I've found his date of birth from his IMDb here [1]. Oh, apologizes for the citation duplication - Let me fix this. Thanks! IcedKoffee (talk) 15:46, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
Hey @Vanderwaalforces - Could you let me know if there are any further changes required or this page is good for now? Thanks a bunch! :) IcedKoffee (talk) 13:34, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Hi there. Please find a better source for the date of birth or omit it entirely. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 21:30, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Hello @Vanderwaalforces. I think it's best I remove it for now. Unable to find any proper reliable sources on Date of Birth, most of them are like celeb profile listing website, or IMDb. I think for now, I'm gonna omit. Thanks. Let me know if everything looks good otherwise :) IcedKoffee (talk) 14:31, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Declined G11

Just to let you know, I declined your G11 on User:ScholarsColab because their user page was not exclusively promotional — it contained some info about their Wikipedia activities, i.e. a COI declaration. In those sorts of cases (where there is still useful information that should be retained) it's better to remove content than to delete the page outright. Thanks, Giraffer (talk) 11:53, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

@Giraffer I saw what you did there, thank you so much! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 11:55, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
No problem. Giraffer (talk) 11:55, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

Administrator Elections | Call for Candidates

Administrator Elections | Call for Candidates

The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Candidates.

Here is the schedule:

  • July 9–15 - Call for candidates
  • July 18–22 - Discussion phase
  • July 23–29 - SecurePoll voting phase

Please note the following:

  • The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
  • Prospective candidates are advised to become familiar with the community's expectations of administrators, which are much higher than the minimum requirement of having extended confirmed status. This includes reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates, and possibly requesting an optional poll on their chances of passing.
  • The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
  • The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
  • Administrator elections are also a valid means of regaining adminship for de-sysopped editors.

Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. A separate user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.

If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

You're receiving this message because you signed up for the mailing list. To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the list.

DYK for Oduwa

On 12 July 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Oduwa, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Oduwa's reign saw cowries becoming so widespread as currency that nobles stitched them into their clothes, causing runaway inflation? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Oduwa. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Oduwa), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thanks

Just wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks. Onel5969 TT me 09:39, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

I’m glad I could help! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:39, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
Congratulations, Vanderwaalforces! The list you nominated, List of governors of Akwa Ibom State, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:26, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello Vanderwaalforces 👋

Hope you're doing well!

I wanted to invite you to share your thoughts on the ongoing **Articles for Deletion** discussion regarding the article **“2025 Vadodara bomb hoaxes”**:

🔗 Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2025 Vadodara bomb hoaxes

The article covers a series of bomb threat hoaxes in Vadodara during 2025 — affecting schools, government offices, a power plant, and even the airport — with significant law enforcement and media response. Some editors have questioned notability under WP:NEVENT, but there is substantial coverage from reliable sources like *The Times of India*, *Indian Express*, and *The Print*. I believe it meets WP:GNG and WP:EVENT, and I'm trying to improve it further with structure and citations.

Would love to hear your opinion — whether Keep/Delete/Neutral — and any thoughts you have on the notability or encyclopedic merit of the topic.

Thanks in advance! --Warm Regards, Abhimanyu7  talk  09:16, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

@Abhiimanyu7 Hello there. Okay, I will take a look when I have time. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:43, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Rectified

Done. Bembety (talk) 12:58, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello Bembety, please go back to the draft and recheck; it definitely wasn't addressed based on my feedback. Also, more errors were added. Happy editing. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 13:01, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
I made a mistake and if change it to (Honors and recognition). please can I remove the section that is causing the issue sir? Bembety (talk) 15:31, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
@Bembety Actually, what I meant was, in this edit you disrupted the lead by removing Timothy Olurotimi Tayo is a Nigerian from it, right now the lead does not make sense. Also, in my comment, I mentioned that the lead needs to say that he is a fellow of the AAS and that he's a Nigerian professor of agronomy at the Osun State University. I think with this the draft would make more sense.
So, in a nutshell, your lead should read like so Timothy Olurotimi Tayo is a Nigerian agricultural scientist and professor of agronomy at the Osun State University. In 2001, he was elected a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:40, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
For the section you now call "straight", you can rename it to "Honours and recognitions" as it accurately reflects what the texts under there talks about. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:43, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
Thank. I’ve gone through it and made some corrections. Please let me know if I’m on the right track. Bembety (talk) 16:03, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
@Bembety The problems are not fixed, you do not seem to be comprehending the jargon I am saying. Do you know what an article's lead is? The lead of an article is the introductory paragraph that comes first before every other section of the article, the lead is usually a summary of the important points of every article. Please read what a lead is here, after reading what a lead is, try fixing the one in the draft you're working on.
By the way, I literally gave you an exact format above you could use, I was even expecting you to simply copy it and paste it right there in the draft. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:11, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for guiding me through the process. Am I making sense now? Bembety (talk) 16:13, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
Sir. The issue is that I didn’t expect the introduction of the article to be like that. But when I later sat down to review it, I realized the opening part was poorly written. Bembety (talk) 16:21, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
The draft looks pretty much in a better shape now, and I have accepted it to mainspace. Happy editing, and take care while doing so. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:23, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
Thank you Sir. Bembety (talk) 16:35, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
