Ankith Madhav is an Indian actor, model, and dubbing artist known for his work in Indian films and television. He gained recognition for his performances in the films Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022), Kannur Squad (2023), and the web-series Poacher (2024).[1][2]
Personal Life
[edit]Ankith Madhav was born as Unnikrishnan Madhavan to Madhavan K. P. and Savithri. He completed his schooling in Thiruvananthapuram. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and a Master of Business Administration. Despite working at an MNC in Mumbai, his passion for acting led him to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He trained in acting at the Brian Timoney Acting School in London.[3]
Career
[edit]Ankith began his career with several commercial appearances, which eventually caught the attention of director Bejoy Nambiar. This led to his casting in the 2017 anthology film Solo, where he portrayed the character Sreekanth.[4]
Ankith played Veer, an ISRO scientist and colleague of the protagonist, in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, directed by R. Madhavan. In 2023, he appeared in the crime drama Kannur Squad, as Yogesh Yadav, a North Indian police constable.[5]
In 2024, Ankith starred in the Amazon Prime Video series Poacher, as forest officer Vijay Babu. The series was directed by filmmaker Richie Mehta and produced by actress Alia Bhatt. The series premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received critical acclaim.[6][7]
