My article does not meet credibility
[edit]Hello,
I've noticed that you have marked my article on Overwhelming by Jon Bellion as not meeting music credibility guidelines. Could you please explain why and how and what I could probably do to fix that to avoid the article getting deleted or anything? Thank you in advance.
Jibblesnark86 (talk) 17:45, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- To show notability you need several sources which go in-depth about subject. Right now you only have one, and that's not from a reliable source (Headline Planet). Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 09:21, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- I'm terribly sorry, but before I talk about the Headline Planet citation, there are multiple sources on the article, five to be exact. You might have misread, but that could just be me though.
- But about that citation from Headline Planet, that was the only source I could find to prove that the was sent to radio only, although I could remove since it is not a reliable source, but then it would likely be seen as misinformation.
- I hope you understand and give more advice about this issue. Should I remove the citation or not? Please let me know soon. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I saw you deleted my article without even seeing and/or answering my question on how to improve it. No advice and jumping to conclusions leads to great damage to my reputation here as an editor. Please answer my question before doing such things. Please answer ASAP so I can put the page back at least. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jibblesnark86 (talk • contribs) 04:53, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Concerns over redirect of Binangonan de Lampon
[edit]Is it correct to forward/redirect "Binangonan de Lampon" search to Infanta, Quezon wiki page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infanta,_Quezon)?
Binangonan de Lampon does not solely comprise of Infanta alone; Binangonan de Lampon comprises of Real, Infanta and General Nakar today. Although Real and General Nakar was created and separated; redirecting to Infanta, Quezon wiki page is a misinformation and masking historical information.
Also, Binangonan de Lampon was an important port during the Galleon Trade which is a continous research and studies. Binangonan de Lampon has significant historical reference that dated back back 16th century that should be explored. Mvleyn (talk) 00:18, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Regardless, the information in the stub is covered in the target. If you want to create a separate article, you need to provide several in-depth sources from independent, reliable sources. The stub you created had zero. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 09:25, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
{{copyvio}} tag on Buchan Ness lighthouse
[edit]I removed the {{copyvio}} tag that you added to Buchan Ness lighthouse. The text in question was taken from an existing article, Boddam, Aberdeenshire. I added a comment to the history for Buchan Ness lighthouse stating that the article incudes text from Boddam, Aberdeenshire. LeapTorchGear (talk) 03:07, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

Seeking Advice on Article Redirect – Shah Newaz Khan Cju
[edit]Hello, and thank you very much for taking the time to review the article on Shah Newaz Khan Cju. I truly appreciate your edits and understand why the page was redirected to his film due to the current lack of in-depth coverage from reliable, independent sources.
I just wanted to kindly ask—if in the future I’m able to find additional references, would there be a way to restore the article? At the moment, I’m going through some personal issues and may not be able to work on this right away, but I do hope to revisit it when I have more time. There could be more sources, particularly those written in the local language.
If I do manage to gather better local sources later on, what would be the correct way to proceed? Would it be acceptable to undo the redirect from the 'Revision history', or should I take some other steps?
I’m still learning about how things work on Wikipedia, so I would be truly grateful for any guidance or advice you can offer.
Thank you once again for your time and guidance—wishing you a wonderful day ahead.
With respect, Expert Panda (talk) 14:39, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Sure. If at any point in the future enough in-depth coverage from independent sources can be found, you can always revert the redirect and add the sources. Onel5969 TT me 02:28, 5 July 2025 (UTC)

Regard of Haiqal Haqeemi page
[edit]Regard of Haiqal Haqeemi, I've put enough citation for him, what else do you want? Other footballer page with only 2 citation like Feroz Baharudin but never have been changed entire page to redirect like this. Please don't put me on the edge, please be fair atleast only put BPL or snub template so I can work on it. Thanks Adiib (talk) 07:01, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- To show notability, you need several references which go in-depth about him, that are from independent, reliable sources. Right now, the article has none. All of your sourcing is either from primary sources, such as team or league sites, or unreliable sources, or are simple mentions of him. This article has been tagged for issues for over a month. - Not exactly, i'm used secondary sources for proving he played and signed for certain clubs. My sources is from fam.org.my and fam.cms.org.my. Both were reliable sources, where else should i get the information of? Also for his stats, i'm refer to malaysianfootballleague.com, also a reliable sources for all Malaysian clubs and players statistics in past few years. For his biograph, ofcourse it's from primary sources but please consider that I also put his information from soccerway, isn't soccerway one of a reliable sources? It's can be a secondary sources. Lastly, i'm trying to improve his article, in the future, Negeri Sembilan FC (his new club) surely gonna state more of his detail information in their website. Btw thanks for consider not to redirect his page and gave me sometimes to improve his page. Adiib (talk) 10:27, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- All of those are reliable sources, but some are primary and some (e.g. soccerway) are only good to satisfy WP:VERIFY, not WP:GNG. Onel5969 TT me 10:30, 6 July 2025 (UTC)

Request for Page Review
[edit]Hi @Onel5969,
I hope you're well. I recently created a new article titled Isaac Murwanashyaka, and I believe it meets Wikipedia's guidelines for notability, neutrality, and reliable sourcing. Since you have significant experience with article reviews, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to look it over when you have the time. If there’s anything that needs improvement, I’m happy to make adjustments.
Thank you Vikingsam (talk) 09:04, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]Hi Onel5969, Thanks for your work here. I noticed that you redirected Frederick Attakumah to Ghana Chamber of Mines, citing lack of in-depth coverage to meet notability. However, I believe the subject meets the requirements under WP:GNG, as there’s significant coverage in reliable, independent sources — such as [1] [2]. I also saw that the article was initially tagged as an orphan, but since there were already relevant page that could link to it, I removed the tag per criteria for linking. I’d like to kindly request that the redirect be reconsidered, and the article restored to give room for further improvement. Best regards -- Robertjamal12 ~🔔 12:02, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Not sure what you're 9 and 10 refer to. If they are to the references #9 and #10 in the article, #9 is a dead link, but even if it weren't, it's a primary source, so would not go to notability. #10 is not in-depth about the subject either, simply having several quotes from him. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 21:18, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Wu manifold
[edit]Good day! Today I've gone back to my article about the Wu manifold since I've noted it down to need more sources and content after getting informed about your template on 4 April 2025, something I take serious. I've instead found it completely removed by you a few days later - without informing me on my talk page or making a proposal for deletion, which would have left me with a week to fix the issues. Instead, I was fully left in the dark. I'm honestly pretty shocked about this. I've always thought that working together and being transparent about it are core values here, only to now learn that any of my articles marked with a template could disappear at any given moment without me ever being notified about it. I'll nonetheless improve the article as you've requested and hope you'll not continue this behaviour in the future. Please inform people when planning to delete their work, especially on a voluntarily project like Wikipedia where I hope my time is respected as much as I respect that of others. With that being said, I still want to thank you for your work here! Samuel Adrian Antz (talk) 12:52, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Onel5969 For an update, I've now reverted the removal of Wu manifold and expanded the article as planned. Next time, if you deem a rework to be urgent as you plan to delete the article without it, please just notify me. It'll then be fixed a lot sooner. Next in line, I'll now address your template for Kaluza–Klein–Riemann curvature tensor. Samuel Adrian Antz (talk) 20:24, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- It was tagged for two weeks without improvement prior to it being redirected. You should have been notified on your watchlist. But you did a nice job on bringing it up to GNG standards. I'll leave the personal attacks to you. Look forward to seeing your improvements on the KKR article, another poorly sourced article. Onel5969 TT me 21:13, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Re: Timothy Menakaya
[edit]Hi, I see you have marked the page Timothy Menakaya as reviewed but after that someone did a huge chunk of single edit to that page, I amazed by their contribution that they only edited 2 time and both on this page. Maybe someone waited for that page to be reviewed and then did that. If you could go through this and say that if this was the primary version would you marked that reviewed then.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 17:05, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

Message about Curro Independent Schools
[edit]Dear @Onel5969 Thanks for the deletion message. Please confirm that you have read the article and it's not a false flag on the filter system. This is not "Unambiguous advertising or promotion" and I will explain why. South Africa as a country is at pains to move past its apartheid past. The two very public discrimination issues that Curro has been accused of in this article is not promotional content. Its a blot on their copybook. Neither are private schools (in the South African context) supposed to be controlled by market forces. That's another blot. Their market success, in my context is not promotion either, but a critique of a market driven approach to education.
May I suggest you delegate this decision to speedy delete to a South African editor for a second opinion. And just a reminder, you forgot to put the speedy deletion tag at the top of the article. I can upload the screenshot to commons if you would like to see the omission. Thanks again for your editing. Derek J Moore (talk) 19:18, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- Interesting. On my view, the tag is at the top of the page. The speedy decision is in the hands of the admins now. I don't disagree with your comments regarding S.A. (my nephew lived there for over a decade prior to his move to Vietnam), but that doesn't take away from the fact that, imho, the article in its current incarnation is quite promotional. You do a ton of great work, so I was sorry to do this, but I try to be as fair and even as possible in my patrol of new pages, regardless of the editor who created the article. Draft Articles
[edit]Hi there. I noticed that you have moved several of my articles as drafts for lack of more sources. It's unusual to move well-written articles into their draft phase when the topic is credible and at least one source has been provided. You have done this with several football club articles and mountain articles. I'm not sure if you are new to the Wikipedia editing thing but... such articles typically keep the 'more sources' needed template. Because if we go by your reasoning, half the articles on Austria's mountains should be moved to draft. Kj1595 (talk) 06:15, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- You moved the KFF Kamza article to draft citing the topic lacks notability. That is a professional women's football club that competed in Albania's top league that you moved to draft? Please explain yourself? Kj1595 (talk) 06:23, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- I happened across this because I've been noticing people are moving draft article to mainspace in violation of WP:DRAFTIFY. Note that moving to draftspace is should not be used for articles deemed not meeting notability guidelines - there seems to be some widespread misunderstanding about this, which is why I think glance at the guide might be a good idea for many. - I don't think you seem to be. Please explain why you moved the KFF Kamza article as draft? You are claiming it lacks notability because it doesn't have enough in-depth sources? That's not how notability works. If you continue disrupting well-written articles and moving them to draft, I'll have little choice but to report you to the Admin noticeboard. Placing articles as drafts is highly unusual and is used only as a last resort when an article lacks the proper structure, importance and/or any source whatsoever. Objection to Deletion Afry Wijoyo Articles
[edit]I believe this article should not be deleted, as Afry Wijoyo meets Wikipedia’s General Notability Guideline (WP:GNG), with coverage in independent, reliable sources such as The Star, New Straits Times, and Berita Harian. He has taken part in nationally recognized productions such as Pendatang (2023), Malaysia’s first crowdfunded feature film, which received broad media attention and public engagement.
Furthermore, several of his feature film and television projects are currently in development or post-production, showing that his career is ongoing and evolving. The article has also been tagged as an actor stub, inviting further expansion and collaborative improvement from other editors, rather than deletion.
Additional sources and improvements are being added to bring the article in line with Wikipedia standards. Thank you for your consideration Suraya Jailani (talk) 14:13, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

Re: Eric Johnson (sculptor)
[edit]I appreciate your editing the Eric Johnson article, but I have questions on some things.
The section on art critics is the main proof of notability. I used the title "criticism and commentary" because the phrase is well understood in literature and fine arts, and because it is used in the articles for other artists, such as Ron Linden. See, for example:
- Assessing Writing Feedback: Criticism, Commentary, and Critique
- https://foxprinteditorial.com/2024/01/18/assessing-writing-feedback-criticism-commentary-and-critique/
You changed it to "reception", but to many of us, that's the food you set out for visitors to your art exhibit.
Shortening the quotes from the art critics makes them well, shorter, but it also gives the reader less information and makes for a choppy result.
In the Roberta Carrasso quote, you changed the capitalization of the scientific terms. That will get you a better grade on your English exam, but it's not what she said; they are capitalized in the original. Can I change it back?
I corrected some typos under WP:COIADVICE Julian in LA (talk) 00:37, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi Onel5969,
Thank you for your work here, very much appreciated. I believe this article meets the GNG and should be kept and improved, rather than deleted.
The redirect was disputed at 10:01 UTC, and by 10:32 UTC it was nominated for deletion with the rationale "Disputed redirect without improvement." However, I had already begun researching to improve the article and strengthen sourcing based on your concerns (as with other articles you’ve tagged that I’m working on).
I kindly ask that the deletion nomination be reconsidered and the article restored to allow room for further improvement. Thank you again for your efforts. Br-- Robertjamal12 ~🔔 11:25, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- The discussion will continue over the next 7 days. If during that time you add sufficient in-depth sourcing so that they meet WP:GNG, then the result should be KEEP. Regarding the timing of the nomination, that goes to show the importance of using edit summaries. When you reverted the redirect, you gave no indication that you were working on improving it, or even planning to work on it. If you had, I wouldn't have nominated it at that time. Onel5969 TT me 13:04, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your response and for explaining the timing, I completely understand your point. Just to clarify, I mistakenly used rollback option which didn’t give me the chance to do that instead of the "undo" option to add an edit summary explaining. That was entirely my oversight, and I appreciate you pointing it out. While I believe the subject meets WP:GNG, I also acknowledge that the article can and should be further improved. I’ll continue looking through and strengthening the sourcing. Br Robertjamal12 ~🔔 13:28, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, please stop making changes related to the Susan Collins article, and discuss your proposed move(which has been reverted). A US Senator would seem to be the primary topic if there are other persons named Susan Collins. 331dot (talk) 10:45, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I neither proposed a move, nor moved a page. There was a dab page with a large volume of incoming links, which had either already been reviewed or autopatrolled, so I simply began to fix the dab links. Onel5969 TT me 10:49, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
My reversion undid your edit
[edit]I did a reversion to Extended family to cure a copyright violation. That required rolling back, thereby undoing and edit you made. I glanced quickly at what you did but frankly didn't follow it so this is a heads up you might have to redo it. It looked to me like the link went to the right article so I missed what you were attempting to do. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:04, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. It was a dab fix, but the dab page was reverted, so no longer needed. Onel5969 TT me 16:06, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Overwriting articles with redirects
[edit]Are there any policies or guidelines besides WP:BURDEN and (for pages that have already been patrolled) WP:GNG to recommend this as a general practice for articles in need of further citations? Since the outcome is effectively the same as a successful AfD (i.e., the disappearance of article history and talk discussions), I am concerned that this should not be done without at least a meaningful effort to discuss and gain consensus—particularly for articles that would be expected to survive an AfD.
Thanks, Patrick 🐈⬛ (talk) 18:53, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Embedded links on the "Dan Jones bibliography" page
[edit]Hi, Onel5969
This is a question about your edits to the Dan Jones bibliography page. You removed a lot of links that did not conform to Wikipedia style guide's recommendation to avoid embedded links. Would citing them directly be a solution to this?
For example, my previous markup looked like this:
* October 9, 1843 - [https://welshsaints.byu.edu/Resource_Info.aspx?id=18744 Letter from Dan Jones]
Would this citation markup be a more appropriate way to format and cite the letter?
* October 9, 1843 - Letter from Dan Jones<ref>{{Cite web |title = 1843, Oct 9 - Letter from Dan Jones |last = Jones |first = Dan |author = <!--Not stated--> |author-link = Dan Jones (Mormon) |date = October 9, 1843 |website = The Welsh Saints Project |url = https://welshsaints.byu.edu/Resource_Info.aspx?id=18744 |publisher = Brigham Young University |access-date = July 20, 2025 }}</ref>

- Yes, that's exactly how they should be. Onel5969 TT me 09:16, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Bananza (disambiguation)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bananza (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:
- a disambiguation page with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" which lists only one extant Wikipedia page (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- a disambiguation page that lists zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" whose target is neither a disambiguation page nor page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Hello, why did you send the article to draftspace?
According to you, he needs more references, but he has 7 and it is a considerable number. Farcazo (talk) 12:48, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- And none of them are in-depth from independent, reliable sources. It's not the number of sources, it's their quality. Onel5969 TT me 15:31, 23 July 2025 (UTC)

- Listen to those 3 audios Gasybeaugosse2020 (talk) 14:28, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Gasybeaugosse2020 I havent seen you case, but considering that One5969 does not explain his edits and appears more prone to put tags and draftify articles than answering concerns here I would consider reporting this behaviour. Ingminatacam (talk) 02:12, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

Gradski stadion Pancevo
[edit]Hi, thank you for your contribution for Pančevo City Stadium article. Far as I can see one of your concern is notability of that Stadium. I think that answer for that concern is Google. Another concern of yours is verifiability, Pančevo gradi stadion kapaciteta 5.000 mesta - B92 sport B92 is official Serbian TV and news source, another one is srbijasport.net - FK Dinamo 1945 - Pančevo - ID card which is one of primary sport oriented internet newspaper in Serbia, you have there all sports, soccer, tenis, basketball .... from Serbia and history and news combine. I can not give, so far, any other source because there is no book about that stadion. If this is not enough can you please suggest something what can help me to made article satisfactory. Thanks Laslovarga (talk) 15:53, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

Gimle Basket
[edit]Excuse me but why did you just totally wipe the entire page of Gimle basket? I made it a full article. You probably thought I was some vandal or so because of all the other redirect pages I cleared, but Gimle basket and Fyllingen Lions are the 2 redirect pages I made into real articles Caramelia14 (talk) 01:48, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Just so you feel better, I’d also suggest reverting the changes I made on Fyllingen Lions. Caramelia14 (talk) 02:05, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- As I said in the edit summaries: "not enough in-depth coverage from independent, reliable sources to show they pass WP:GNG. And "a single primary source doesn't come close to meeting WP:GNG. Please read the guidelines on how to establish notability." And it definitely doesn't make me feel better to convert extremely poorly cited articles to redirect. Namak Haram
[edit]Hey @Onel5969, hope you are doing great. You have reverted my edits on Namak Haram, restoring it as per afd. However, I made the request at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. Is there anything else, I should have complied with in order to have it on the main space? Reshmaaaa (talk) 12:48, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Requests for undeletion is one of the routes to go. But be aware, that does not guarantee that the article will be restored. Simply that an admin will take a look at it. Onel5969 TT me 10:02, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
Sociedad Nacional de Minería
[edit]Your edits to Sociedad Nacional de Minería where you attempt to draftify the article are not helpful. I urge you to not repeat this and to explain your concerns in its talk page [3]. Have a nice day. Ingminatacam (talk) 17:57, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
- Please stop targeting the article Sociedad Nacional de Minería with notability tags and attemt to move it to a draft space. You are wellcome to explain your concerns in its talk page. I have so far not seen you explain why this well-sourced article would fail to be notable. Ingminatacam (talk) 02:09, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
Jon Bellion
[edit]Hi,
I'm talking about this again because I considering the fact that you are ignoring this matter on purpose, just like other topics on this page. I saw a few weeks ago that you had my article for "Overwhelming" by Jon Bellion without even seeing and/or answering my question on how to improve it, refer to "My article does not meet credibility" on this talk page. No advice and jumping to conclusions leads to great damage to my reputation here as an editor, and this type of behavior can make every editor of every level turn against you. Please at least answer my question before doing such things. Please answer ASAP so I can put the page back at least, new and improved, if I'm able to. Please do not ignore this message, and please reply at once. Thanks in advance. Jibblesnark86 (talk) 03:33, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I did answer you, "To show notability you need several sources which go in-depth about subject. Right now you only have one, and that's not from a reliable source (Headline Planet). Hope this helps." You simply did not like the answer. Please read the guidelines for WP:GNG. You had 5 sources in the article. 4 of them did not offer WP:SIGCOV of the song, and the 5th is not a reliable source. I would also suggest that you read WP:CIVIL. Onel5969 TT me 10:08, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for answering, but I find this hard to believe. I read over the guidelines and didn't see anything wrong with my sources. I'm sorry if this irritates you in any way, but it irritates me more when people delete something without looking over it. But thank you again anyway for the insight.
- Jibblesnark86 (talk) 20:43, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Then you didn't really read the guidelines all that well. Onel5969 TT me 21:54, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
