Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie

Hi there. I decided to expand the article of Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie but ended up lacking sources about the cast or the making of it. If by any chance you find something could you share it? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 16:03, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About your changes to Ghibli film articles

Hey Sjones23, I've just gone through my watchlist and seen you remove information about several films' producers and distribution companies from their lead sections, most of which I've now put back in. Why? TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 16:37, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there. While I'm reformatting the lead sections using the certain GA and FA articles as references (including those pertaining to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Back to the Future), there are some relevant guidelines and essays including User:Erik/Best practices, WP:LEADSENTENCE and WP:FILMLEAD which could be useful on how we often handle these sections in the film articles.
There are sources used within quite a few Ghibli-related articles that list Ghibli as the production company and the end credits of Ghibli films often list the studio itself under the "production" section (per Wikipedia:WikiProject Japan/Film credits glossary#Terms, 制作 means "production") towards the end of said films.
Of course, we can also ask on the WT:MOSFILM page for additional clarification. I've raised the issue here, if you are interested. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 18:52, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for opening that section, I might join in if I have something to add. In general, I agree that the inclusion of details like the producer(s) or related companies can be decided on a case-by-case basis, but that makes some of your changes on the Ghibli articles even more confusing to me. On Princess Mononoke, for example, you removed the mention of Toshio Suzuki from the lead despite his taking a significant role in the production and promotion of the film. (He was also mentioned later in the lead, which created a problem with his name being used without introduction.) I understand the concern with the terminology used to refer to Studio Ghibli, (they're referred to as the production company in the infobox, for what it's worth) but saying the film was produced by them would obviously create ambiguity with the producer, and most reliable sources primarily discuss it as an animation studio, not a production house, anyway. Hopefully that explains why I've made the reversions I did, and I've left edit summaries with some further detail otherwise. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 23:00, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 23:11, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is to let you know that the above article has been scheduled as today's featured article for 5 May 2025. Please check that the article needs no amendments. Feel free to amend the draft blurb, which can be found at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 2025, or to make comments on other matters concerning the scheduling of this article at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/May 2025. Please keep an eye on that page, as notifications of copy edits to or queries about the draft blurb may be left there by user:JennyOz, who assists the coordinators by reviewing the blurbs, or by others. I also suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from two days before it appears on the Main Page. Thanks, and congratulations on your work! Gog the Mild (talk) 14:03, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid the episode synopses are a bit of a WIP, both because I'm working through season 1 which I have not seen for some time, and because many of them are the sort of back-of-box "synopsis" which doesn't actually tell you the ending. Pinkbeast (talk) 07:33, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I know. According to WP:TVPLOT, the summaries for the episode lists should be below 200 words. When I do write summaries for these lists, I often use the other anime FLs (such as the ones for Tokyo Mew Mew, One Piece and so on) as models. As a side note, we can ask for further feedback on WT:ANIME; I'm one of the regulars there. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 08:11, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Long ago, a user turned this Devil May Cry episode list into FL. Now that I was reminded me of it due to the Netflix series I wondered if this list had any notable issue. I tried referencing the airdates but sadly the official website used a software that made it impossible to recheck airdates. I tried adding tidbits about production and reception after seeing complaints about the Bleach lists but I am not sure if it's enough. Feel free to review it. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 20:32, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

TV season FLRCs

Hi! I noticed that you've recently opened several FLRCs for articles on TV seasons. I've been working through some of them myself and made a tracker at my user sandbox to help spot lists that may need more urgent attention. Nothing needed on your end, just figured I'd pass it along to you since you seem to be working on something similar. RunningTiger123 (talk) 01:30, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It started today on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. I'm hoping to see some of our older stale US articles improved! Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:10, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2025 July newsletter

The third round of the 2025 WikiCup ended on 28 June. This round was again competitive, with three contestants scoring more than 1,000 round points:

Everyone who competed in round 3 will advance to round 4 unless they have withdrawn. This table shows all competitors who have received tournament points so far, while the full scores for round 3 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 4 featured articles, 16 featured lists, 1 featured picture, 9 featured-topic articles, 149 good articles, 27 good-topic articles, and more than 90 Did You Know articles. In addition, competitors have worked on 18 In the News articles, and they have conducted more than 200 reviews.

Remember that any content promoted after 28 June but before the start of Round 4 can be claimed in Round 4. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
