Information icon Hi Agent Albatros! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Pastirma several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Pastirma, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. As a new comer, you may not be fully aware that you are edit warring. There have been 18 or 19 reverts in the past day. Both you and the other editor are edit warring. I strongly suggest you take it to an administrator's notice board, such as WP:ANI or WP:ANI/EW or seek dispute resolution at WP:DRN.. Netherzone (talk) 19:07, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Netherzone stopped it. Agent Albatros (talk) 19:08, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Pastirma. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Please stop insulting other editors as you have done by telling them they have a "rotted brain", or calling them a "liar" and a "deranged nationalist." This is completely inappropriate, and is NOT how editors are to behave or communicate. WP is a collaborative project based on mutual respect even if editors disagree. Information icon Hello, Agent Albatros, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Pastirma (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Ad Orientem (talk) 23:43, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
