Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2024 Atlanta United FC season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Derrick Williams. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:52, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Conyo14. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Devils–Rangers rivalry, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Conyo14 (talk) 19:49, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Devils–Rangers rivalry, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Just so you're aware, X formerly known as Twitter is not a reliable source for adding to an article. I would recommend finding a source from the New York Times or similar quality news source to add what you want. See WP:INTREF4 for more information.

Hi, thank you for your contributions. I note your recent edits to Minute Maid Park.

Per the news release[1], this name change occurs on January 1. I've requested a revert of the article's title at WP:RMT, and urge you to self-revert recent edits making use of the "Daikin Park" name. See WP:CRYSTAL. 162 etc. (talk) 16:49, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok got it. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 16:50, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That being said, 2025 season pages and the 2026 World Baseball Classic are after the change so I'll leave those there. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 16:51, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:55, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2025 Nashville SC season moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to 2025 Nashville SC season. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Cut-paste move of Minute Maid Park

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Minute Maid Park a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Daikin Park. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 12:44, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I did try to move the page, but I wasn't able to because of someone setting Daikin Park to a redirect and that not being able to be changed. I do hope an admin merges Minute Maid Park. This wasn't done because I was lazy or didn't know, this was done to try and correct a problem that had occured. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 12:46, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The next time you face such an issue, please follow the steps listed at Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting technical moves. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 13:11, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Half. I see you have been busy adding performaces at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California for FireAid to help with relief efforts for the January 2025 Southern California wildfires. I wonder coudld you ensure you add some WP:RS source(s) for all of these additions? Otherwise they might be very quickly reverted. Many thanks. Please when you add a source complete it with right parameters. Adding <ref> url link </ref> is not sufficient. Island92 (talk) 22:48, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I know but it takes a while to fill in the parameters. I don't know the template off the top of my head. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 16:23, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I'll start using that then. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 16:29, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It usually saves a huge amount of time. But it may not include all the parameters you need, so you may need to check and adjust manually. Regards. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:34, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Again, you still continue with this approach. Complete refs please. Island92 (talk) 19:54, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Provinces not Canada in Canada fixtures/results

[edit]

I was about to revert with the comment that this needs to be consistent, and if you want to go fix hundreds of old game results, that would have to be how it is done. But I realized you already had! So kudos for that. Though the question then becomes, given we play most games in the USA, should we list the state names. Sometimes I don't even know which states these rinky-dink suburbs are in (I'm not entirely serious!). Nfitz (talk) 01:30, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We list states only for the US perspective. Then again if the US played in Hamilton, Burnaby, or Laval we'd still just say Canada instead of the province on our page.
I'll probably do the same for the women's team where I change the provinces for all the results. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 02:14, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree - mostly I'm making a pointed comment about not playing game in Canada. :) Nfitz (talk) 15:19, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's more of a federation issue but I'll leave that for a soccer forum. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 15:54, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced articles

Hi, I highly recommend not writing articles without any sources that are significantly in the future. If notable, we can always write them when more information is provided. If absolutely necessary, write such articles in the future tense and probbaly add a relevant future tag as well. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 18:54, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but two problems with your updates to season pages:

  • Please update the records in the infobox, and not just the season box.
  • Please list the road team first in the recap source.

Ok yeah it was just adding Vegas for Pacific 1 because they have home ice advantage. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 14:54, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That is 100% not confirmed yet. Reason: LA has 97 points with 5 games left. Vegas has 103 points. Vegas could lose every game and LA win every game to get the P1 seed. If the NHL says "home-ice advantage through the first two rounds", that does not guarantee they are the first seed in the division. Conyo14 (talk) 16:46, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I was just curious where it says Jansson received a yellow card in the 97th-minute against the Portland Timbers. An IP editor also noted that Jansson received a yellow card at this time, but I don't see it in the report. I just want to know what source says this because it might be a better source to use than the current one. Thanks. Raskuly (talk) 20:57, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I copied from the Orlando page. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 02:29, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The wikipedia page for Orlando's season. If it's not there, then either of us can remove it. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 02:38, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I removed Jansson's yellow card against the Timbers because it is not in the match report. According to MLS and Orlando City, the last yellow card was to Rodrigo Schlegel in the 95th-minute. Raskuly (talk) 02:44, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

NHL standing templates

[edit]

Hello, HalfOfAnOrange,

We have a new IP account that is doing a lot of content removal from NHL standing templates for the past few seasons. I see that you did some editing on them, too, and I was hoping you could look over the past few years and make sure that they aren't doing any damage. You can find them in Category:National Hockey League standings templates. Thank you, in advance, if you can supply some supervision here. Liz Read! Talk! 02:29, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
