About Deletion Ersel Goral Page
[edit]Ersel Göral is one of the most important aviation industry executives recognized worldwide. All information can be found with a simple google search. I never understand why it was deleted by you ??!! Ersel Goral Erhanyild (talk) 05:50, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- The article was deleted by community consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ersel Göral and continues to be recreated, by you, despite this consensus. Your edits promoting this individual are the only contributions you've made to this encyclopedia in 4+ years. I've left a notice regarding our conflict of interest guidelines on your talk page; please follow them.-- Ponyobons mots 17:15, 4 July 2025 (UTC)

Confirmed sockpuppet
[edit]Hello, Ponyo! I am very sorry if I'm wasting your time, but it has caught to my attention that a user who has explicitly confirmed being behind the account Apollogetticax (who is a sockpuppet of User:HTML5, CSS3!) is back on enwiki (and recently came back to simplewiki):
SolarX (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) – previous name was "Haumeon".
Since the original blocking checkuser is retiring, I thought I'd just ask you instead. On the simplewiki, he explicitly said:
But then: my IP ban/block (I get confused) ended on enwiki! I rushed to make a new account (naïve me), Apollogetticax. This was in June or July. I got in a very good standing, until the same checkuser found me out. I left Wikipedia for a month. But one day, I decided to edit Simplewiki. – (This is part of a very long paragraph, so I decided to give you a nice snippet.)
Also, after blocking this user, the sockmaster needs to be banned per WP:3X. Thank you for your time. 2601:402:4400:3A90:69F3:EC91:D36E:114C (talk) 18:26, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- If they weren't using the account here, I'd let it slide, but there are recent edits. I've pointed them to WP:SO if they want to pursue an appeal here.-- Ponyobons mots 17:29, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
Block evasion of User:Pheonix hoe1998& by IPs
[edit]Hello Ponyo,
This message is about the user Pheonix hoe1998&, who you blocked indefinitely back in late May this year. Could you have a look at the thread WP:ANI § IPs from Paris appear to be block evasion by Pheonix hoe1998&? That thread has been sitting there for more than three days without a response or action and the issue is still ongoing today, e.g. diff, hence bringing this to the attention of the admin who blocked the user account.
Thanks, — AP 499D25 (talk) 06:05, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- @AP 499D25: The thread was archived without action, but I've blocked the two /40 ranges mentioned by Binksternet to help alleviate some of the disruption. I've left account creation enabled for now; we'll see how that goes.-- Ponyobons mots 19:06, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for blocking the two /40s I suggested. Another /40 needs the same treatment:
- Happy Bastille Day for those who observe it. Binksternet (talk) 20:41, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, blocked now as well.-- Ponyobons mots 20:53, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
It's happening
[edit]Hello Ponyo,
here we go again! Last time you had to intervene in case of Holiptholipt was in March 2025, in case of the User:Marty McDonalds account. Surely, you thought, that must be the last time of hearing from him, right? So did I, I'm way too boring of a person for anyone online to take so much interest in my editing. Nope. He's back. This time with a very narrow IP range, however. If it does appear to be him, I want to thank you so much for the block in advance. Have a great Summer! Mine is rainy, which I don't mind. [edit]Hi, who is EJK2000 a sock of? I cannot find a SPI. If I know who the sockmaster is, and when they became blocked, I can G5 all those images that EJK2000 uploaded. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:34, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Redrose64: They're evading their block through logged-out edits, so they are the sockmaster (as far as I can tell).-- Ponyobons mots 22:36, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
Seeking your opinion
[edit]Earlier you protected two pages due to continued socking by Eddu16 (1 2), you may also remember the related noticeboard discussion. They've been sporadically continuing to do much the same on 2001:1388:1B8E:0:0:0:0:0/47. From a quick sniff collateral is likely to be minimal even on a full-range softblock since only one other editor has been using it to make a handful of edits to Miss World 2026 perhaps slightly strengthening the case for implementing reverse p-blocks, on the other hand p-blocking from the most common targets would curtail a significant amount of the disruption and since they do pop up on other ranges periodically some monitoring will need to continue regardless. So either option seems reasonable here.
Thought I’d reach out to you since your already somewhat familiar with this one. Thanks, 184.152.65.118 (talk) 17:07, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- I soft blocked the /47 for block evasion, as it's clearly Eddu16. If they create an account I can look at restricting account creation on the range as well.-- Ponyobons mots 17:19, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

I'm around so infrequently and irregularly these years and sometimes it just feels like I've let my ratio of asking for assistance vs being asked get a little skewed. Of course knowing my luck if there were something I'd be well placed to address left on my talk page it would end up being 5 minutes after I set myself on one of those multi-month cold-turkey wikibreaks, or right before my IP changes, or both. Even now it's mostly just a few minutes of multi-tasking here and there between IRL demands. I take your point though. 184.152.65.118 (talk) 19:16, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Help please! Tons of sockpuppets from the same user constantly adding unsourced and disruptive data.
[edit]Hello Ponyo, please take a look at this user's edits:
Climater67 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) then to Earthsofabil67 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) (2 users, but they are the same one actually) and to the following IPs which are editing the same pages as the 2 accounts from above, so the sockmaster is using IPs as well and all of them have the same ISP and very similar IP v6 addresses and locations:
2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:114:AEA4:2CB8:1E2A (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:F1C1:C12C:372A:4E25 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) 2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:ACBF:C648:73D0:6C3D (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) 2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:6DB6:410C:F6D1:8537 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) 2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:2425:CAC2:50EE:8D6E (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
And many more IPs, just to cite 5 of them.
This user is always targeting the same pages and topic: climate of places in Algeria, Morocco and Spain. All being unsourced and made up data, constantly reverted and warned by other users but the solution of this sockmaster is to use another IP or to create another user.
Please help, this user is trespassing the line on many Wikipedia articles and it's hard to revert so many sock edits.
I suspect this might also be the same user or related to an already globally blocked IP range for crosswiki abuse in the English Wikipedia as well as in other Wikipedias. See how in the English Wikipedia, the blocked IP range was also mostly doing unsourced climate-related edits.
2603:8001:B202:3294:0:0:0:0/64 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
Please review this when you can, it would help to stop another IP range dedicated to make several disruptive edits on a daily basis. Thanks. 90.160.203.156 (talk) 00:08, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- There are a number of issues here. First, there is no overlap in time between the edits made by Climater67 and Earthsofabil67, so there's no blatant socking. Second, it looks like Earthsofabil67 admits to being the 2A02:8434:: range based on their responses to concerns raised at User talk:2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:C4D0:31A8:EC08:D5DB. Thirdly, the 2A02:8434:E7E0:8301:0:0:0:0/64 range is on a different continent than the globally-blocked 2603:8001:B202:3294:0:0:0:0/64. Finally, there are a lot of red-linked talk pages, and when the accounts/IP are approached they respond. So what this looks like at first blush is a content dispute. If the editor/IPs are adding blatantly false data to articles disruptively then I suggest you take it to AN/I for review.-- Ponyobons mots 15:42, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, my little Ponyo. Do you think there's any point in blocking the LTA 64s that are riding their hobbyhorse at Sex differences in humans? They're quite different - 2605:b100:1142:562c:68b2:1539:ac8c:df9e and, further down in the history, 2604:3d09:d281:bb00:b5b4:f0c9:4e79:1b31. Sigh. Bishonen | tålk 20:00, 21 July 2025 (UTC).

I see you made a similar request at es.wiki, which was also declined as the article is protected against recreation there as well. Given that you've written this request in Spanish, the Spanish Wikipedia would be the correct venue to pursue creation of the article. -- Ponyobons mots 20:01, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
IP sock?
[edit]Hi, I see that you made this block a few weeks ago for some articles - looks like that IP block is also active on countless other articles. I just encountered them in two occasions ([1], [2]) on what seems to otherwise be very far from the usual article topic list of that IP range, so it made me curious. Raladic (talk) 03:46, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Raladic: The range is huge, with many different editors active there, which is why you see such a range of editing topics (and range of partial blocks). See User_talk:Ponyo/Archive_69#User:2001:8F8:1361:2375:FC6C:7A96:612:90A7 and User_talk:Ponyo/Archive_69#Another_block_for_2001:8F8:1DD3:B8C3:D998:1353:4648:EF09_? from my archives. Past tense and 2024 information
[edit]The reason why it may be better to at the Adria Arjona article say “as of 2024, she was in a relationship” instead of what you changed it to which is “as of 2024, she is in a relationship” is that we are not in 2024 today. 184.153.21.19 (talk) 21:02, 23 July 2025 (UTC)

- The source supports a current relationship as of 2024 unless there is an updated source that confirms otherwise. We don't put a new source in everyday to confirm they're still together. Given that the internet was littered with news of the couple being on the red carpet together just two days ago, there is no reason to change the status of the relationship.-- Ponyobons mots 23:17, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. If I understand, we can keep statements that people are in a relationship, without showing what year that information was reported. As though they are currently in it. Even though the source is from an earlier year. If there are sources saying it is so in 2025 (but we don’t have to include those sources in the article). Thanks. I did not understand that. --184.153.21.19 (talk) 04:10, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

- Well yeah. I'll put together an article about him and I'll inform you. Thanks Wira rhea (talk) 10:56, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, you can check the article on my sandbox. Thanks. Wira rhea (talk) 03:13, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Wira rhea: Unprotected - you can move it from your sandbox now.-- Ponyobons mots 15:48, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Update: I moved it for you. Wasn't sure when you'd be around next and didn't want to leave it open for potential socking. There's an error with the Soccerway template, not sure how to fix that.-- Ponyobons mots 15:52, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Very kind of you. I updated the soccerway template. Thank you very much. Wira rhea (talk) 21:25, 30 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I came across this IP's edits, and noticed that you blocked them back in June for block evasion. Can you tell if this is the same user that you were targeting before, and if so, please block them again? Thanks. 71.59.186.230 (talk) 22:18, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Got it. -- Ponyobons mots 21:50, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
