@Blethering Scot fyi, if you see another situation like this, where there's a whole lot of pages by the same user that all need to go, there's no need to tag them for speedy deletion - just grab the nearest admin (we have a handy mass-delete button). -- asilvering (talk) 01:18, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't do anything wrong

[edit]

This is a misunderstanding. I never vandalized any page. Besides, the other wikis have other bad-word pages with apostrophe redirects. For example, F***. Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 00:12, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not censored. To quote the first paragraph from the policy, "Wikipedia may contain content that some readers consider objectionable or offensive‍—‌even exceedingly so. Attempting to ensure that articles and images will be acceptable to all readers, or will adhere to general social or religious norms, is incompatible with the purposes of an encyclopedia." Sirocco745 (talk) 00:17, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Then why does the page F*** exist? Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 00:19, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's a common alternative to actually saying fuck, and it links to the Fuck#Common_alternatives section on the article. The redirects you've made are just indiscriminate and unnecessary. We are not required to cover every single possibility that someone searches up. If they really want to visit the article, they can search up the word instead of censoring it. F*** exists because it links to a subsection of the article where "F***" itself is discussed. Sirocco745 (talk) 00:28, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I understand now. This won't happen again. Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 00:44, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse logo
Hello! Kjjj6uhhhhh, you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us! Liz Read! Talk! 00:48, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Kjjj6uhhhhh,
Although I agree these redirects were unnecessary, all of these notices and the deletions of pages you created must feel like a punch in the gut. I just wanted to let you know that any time editors start mass-creating redirects, they have gotten in trouble. It seems to be addictive because these editors don't create 1 or 5 or 10 redirects, they create 100! There was even an admin, Neelix, who went so overboard with inappropriate redirect creation, that he lost his admin position. There was even a specific CSD criteria that was created, just to tag the redirects he created. So, you went all in on an activity that typically leads to an editor being sanctioned. In this case, there was no block issued but your redirect creation only lasted a day, not weeks, and so, it was nipped in the bud before too many were created. But you could have faced a trip to ANI. Luckily, this didn't happen.
The Teahouse is a great place to go to ask questions about, say, the redirect policies on Wikipedia or to get ideas on what activities you might pursue next. Please see this reaction as a slap on the hand, saying, "No, don't do that" and not a message that you aren't wanted here as an editor.
If you want to ask questions, besides the Teahouse, come to the User talk page of any of the editors who have posted here recently. And, if I was you, I'd remove all of these template notifications from your User talk page. You might leave the personal messages but that's your choice. Liz Read! What are your thoughts about this character relative to four hundred and six (as it turns out?)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Then why does "Major Distribution" exist? It only has two pages. Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 00:33, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Because neither Major Distribution (50 Cent song) nor Major Distribution (Drake and 21 Savage song) is considered the primary topic. Therefore, that is a WP:NOPRIMARY situation (where a disambiguation page must exist at the base title), rather than a WP:ONEOTHER situation. jlwoodwa (talk) 00:54, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Then "I'm on One" should be moved to "I'm on One (DJ Khaled song)". Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 00:57, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you think the DJ Khaled song is not the primary topic, you can start a requested move discussion. jlwoodwa (talk) 02:47, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages

[edit]

I have reverted your various changes around the Potty mouth disambiguation page.

There is nothing to suggest that the old-fashioned colloquial usage meaning "Profanity" is the WP:Primary topic.

But if it was, the way to retitle the disambiguation page is not to cut and paste it but to move it, or, in the case of a long-established page like this, to initiate a discussion about moving it using the WP:Requested moves process. PamD 19:20, 2 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Auberge 2019 album cover.webp

Redirect creation disruption - partial block

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing new page creations for mass creation and recreation of unnecessary redirects. There have been myriad notices on your talk page notifying you of your redirect deletions. You been asked by an admin (asilvering) to stop disruptive redirect creations and recreations, yet you persist. This includes recreating at least one category that was recently deleted by consensus at RfD. I don't trust your judgment in determining which redirects are helpful and which just eat up volunteer time in reviewing and deleting. This partial blocks leaves a large portion of the encyclopedia open for you to edit and you can appeal at any time.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ponyobons mots 18:38, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can I still discuss, or at least edit older pages? Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 18:52, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, someone told me that I can still make redirects because I'm autoconfirmed. And I wasn't even trying to vandalize. Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 18:54, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So it was their fault. Kjjj6uhhhhh (talk) 18:55, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The block is unrelated to vandalism and only applies to the creation of new pages; all existing articles, talk pages and project space pages should still be available for you to edit. -- Ponyobons mots 20:15, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • The reason I blocked you from creating redirects is that you were eating up volunteer time in the creation and recreation of unnecessary redirects. I don't think you understand when or why a redirect is useful so I wanted you to work on other parts of the project, not just head to Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects to bog them down with requests there. As such, I've blocked you from that page as well.-- Ponyobons mots 22:03, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Phuk

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Phuk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
