Russell Wiggins (actor)

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Russell Wiggins (actor), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it has been moved to Draft:Russell Wiggins (actor) where you can continue to work on it. Please consider using the Article Wizard or the Articles for Creation procedure. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read "Your first article". You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. I really recommend that you work on the article in draftspace, making sure that it is properly sourced and referenced using reliable and independent sources, before you decide to move it back to mainspace. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 09:42, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

SunloungerFrog - Interesting move. FYI, I've been an editor on Wikipedia since 2005, and I'm also Administrator; thus the use of the template wording in to suggest learning about creating articles was bewildering. Your move of stub article Russell Wiggins (actor) to draft space was surprising; being made after only a few days. (Note that there are quite a few stub articles with only IMDb in the external links.) That said, I've expanded the article in Draft space and would like it moved back to main space. While I could make that move myself, I'm following proper procedure to notify you. — ERcheck (talk) 18:26, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise that you felt slighted by my using a standard user warning template - there is only the one for draftifying articles, I think. I've taken a look at Draft:Russell Wiggins (actor). It is of course better sourced, though I'd say that none of the sources that I could access myself (unfortunately the book and the TCM sources weren't available to me) constituted significant coverage. Please do publish the article if you'd like to. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 21:41, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

On your page "ERcheck/common.js"

[edit]

I believe you meant to make this as a user page instead of an article.

Can you move it to User:ERcheck/common.js please? Thank you. ApexParagon (talk) 15:55, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's been a few hours and given you're an admin (and can easily restore the page) I've taken the liberty of deleting ERcheck/common.js for now. I can't move code pages into someone else's userspace, but you should be able to restore it yourself. Thanks, Giraffer (talk) 16:50, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@ApexParagon - Thank you for this! Sorry about the mistake. I'll make the change.

DYK for Willie Williams (general)

[edit]

On 24 March 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Willie Williams (general), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that retired United States Marine Corps three-star general Willie Williams originally planned to enlist in the Air Force after high school instead of going to college? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Willie Williams (general). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Willie Williams (general)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
