@Ahmed magdy 3295 hi. Your article appears to be written in Arabic, so it's best to publish it on the Arabic Wikipedia instead. User:CanonNi (talkcontribs) 01:42, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello CanonNi:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back!

[edit]

Nice to see that you're back! Hopefully the real life doesn't come back to bite you. I wonder what's the status of Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/CanonNiBot 1? Aaron Liu (talk) 11:50, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Aaron Liu thanks! Yeah, let's hope so, lol. And ah, I almost forgot about that - I'll get those trial edits done sometime soon, which should be easy since the code is already good to go. Appreciate the reminder! User:CanonNi (talkcontribs) 10:05, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Reijenn13 on Wikipedia:Help desk (01:16, 23 May 2025)

[edit]

Hello. I have a Wikitia draft and would like to transfer it to Wikipedia. How will I do that? --Reijenn13 (talk) 01:16, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Reijenn13 hi. Do you mean Fandom (formerly Wikia) or some other wiki? Whatever the case, directly "transferring" the draft is inadvisable, as Wikipedia has its own set of guidelines and standards for articles. Please see Help:Your first article for instructions on how to get started. User:CanonNi (talkcontribs) 02:11, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Response to Sword Oratoria Revisions

[edit]

Hello I restored the changes you reverted as there was no deletion of content and the changes were intentional. I moved the Sword Oratoria list of novels and chapters to dedicated pages to align it to way the main story wiki page Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is set up. A large list of novels is not exactly helpful on the main page. I have restored the changes with a more helpful comment.

New Pages with the removed content

Thanks. Lazeraman (talk) 04:28, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Lazeraman ah, got it. Thanks for your work! User:CanonNi (talkcontribs) 08:48, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for 2018 Taipei mayoral election

[edit]

On 29 May 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2018 Taipei mayoral election, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the second-place candidate in the 2018 Taipei mayoral election lost by just 0.23%, demanded a recount, and ended up losing by even more? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2018 Taipei mayoral election. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, 2018 Taipei mayoral election), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Question from Youcanbuymeflowers (20:24, 30 May 2025)

[edit]

HI. Trying to edit an image on a page so it reverts back to the original image. the one posted is unflattering. how do i do this with out it constantly being reverted back to the unflattering photo. I am not adding text, misinformation or anything, simply reverting a picture back to a previous image that was approved by wikipedia. Thanks --Youcanbuymeflowers (talk) 20:24, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Youcanbuymeflowers I'm assuming you're referring to Jenny Heijun Wills? Your attempted additions of a new image are, as explained in the edit summaries, way too big. User:CanonNi (talkcontribs) 00:23, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

How to add a reference

[edit]

Hi, hope you are doing well. For the past few days, I’ve been on Wikipedia trying to learn how to edit. Your previous article was helpful to me. I noticed that some people use references from news articles or books. The code they use looks like cite news = something. How can I learn this referencing system and how to use that code? Also, what is the easiest way to remember it?. Arbaz Thakur (talk) 05:44, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Arbaz Thakur the code you're referring to are WP:CS1 templates, which are used to format citations in a standardized manner. The good news is, you don't have to learn it at all! (unless you want to, of course) This is because the VisualEditor, the one enabled by default, has a handy tool for automatically generating citations from a URL, ISBN, and more. See WP:REFVISUAL on how to use it. User:CanonNi (talkcontribs) 07:07, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
