The 2026 Wisconsin fall general election will take place in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on November 3, 2026. All of Wisconsin's partisan executive and administrative offices will be up for election, as well as all of Wisconsin's eight seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. The fall election will also fill the seventeen odd-numbered seats in the Wisconsin Senate and all 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 108th Wisconsin Legislature. The 2026 Wisconsin fall primary will take place on August 11, 2026.

The 2026 Wisconsin spring election will take place on April 7, 2026. One seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as well as various nonpartisan local and judicial offices will be up for election. The 2026 spring primary will take place on February 17, 2026.

State offices

Executive

All of Wisconsin's partisan executive offices will be up for election in November 2026 with partisan primaries held on August 11.

Governor

Incumbent Democratic governor Tony Evers, first elected in 2018, has announced that he will not run for re-election. This will be the first open seat gubernatorial election in Wisconsin since 2010.

Lieutenant governor

Incumbent Democratic lieutenant governor Sara Rodriguez, first elected in 2022, is eligible to run for re-election, but has not yet stated if she will do so.

Attorney general

Incumbent Democratic attorney general Josh Kaul, first elected in 2018, is eligible for a third four year term, but has not yet stated if he will run for re-election.

Secretary of state

Incumbent Democratic secretary of state Sarah Godlewski, first appointed in 2023, is eligible to run for a full four year term, but will not do so. This will be the first open seat secretary of state election in Wisconsin since 1978.

One candidate, Wisconsin Green Party organizer Pete Karas, has declared a campaign for this office.[4]

Incumbent Republican state treasurer John Leiber, first elected in 2022, is eligible to run for re-election, but has not yet stated if he will do so.

Judiciary

State Supreme Court

A regularly-scheduled Wisconsin Supreme Court election will be on the ballot for the Spring general election, April 7, 2026, for a ten-year term on the court. The incumbent justice, Rebecca Bradley, first elected in 2016, is running for re-election.[5]

State Court of Appeals

At least three seats on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals will be on the ballot for the Spring general election, April 7, 2026.[a]

  • In District I, incumbent judge Joe Donald has not indicated if he will seek a second six-year term. He was appointed to the court by Governor Tony Evers in 2019 and won election in 2020 without opposition.
  • In District II, incumbent judge Lisa Neubauer has not indicated if she will seek a fourth six-year term. She was appointed to the court by Governor Jim Doyle in January 2008, won election that Spring, won re-election without opposition in 2014, and defeated a challenger in 2020.
  • In District IV, incumbent judge Rachel A. Graham has not indicated if she will seek a second six-year term. She was appointed to the court by Governor Tony Evers in 2019 and won election in 2020 without opposition.

Local offices

Waukesha County

  • A regularly scheduled mayoral election will be held in Waukesha, Wisconsin, concurrent with the general election on April 7, 2026. Incumbent mayor Shawn Reilly, first elected in 2014, has not indicated whether he will seek re-election. Current state representative Scott Allen is running for the office.[6]
