This article could use some help in two ways: additional reliable sources, and an assessment (perhaps a C-Class?). Bearian (talk) 07:46, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

Requesting opinions at List of food origins
[edit]I have completed looking at each entry to ensure that each item is a food item and what region it comes from and have made the page align in format. Any criticism or suggestions on the page is welcome. Please let me know if the "in need of reorganization" message can be removed. Thank you in advance. I have raised a question regarding this article. The article seems to be mixing up two different cakes, a padtry based cake and a sweet bread dough cake. Davidstewartharvey (talk) 13:19, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
At the moment the article is named powdered sugar, but I am not sure if this is such a commonly used term. Just looking at recipe sites, and many used confectioners sugar as the term (instead of icing sugar/powdered sugar). I had a quick look on the net and from this study by the University of British Columbia it seems it is actually a wider used name across web? [1] Should we change the main article to Confectioners and Redirect Powdered? The article is currently not marked in any language? Davidstewartharvey (talk) 10:16, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Gaps in Australian food coverage
[edit]Over at Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board#SBS 50 Food Changemakers is a list of some of the most important people in food in [Australia] that do not have an article. Each item has a list of sources that establish notability and can be used to build a biography; if anyone wants to help fill these gaps in coverage it would be much appreciated. Among these include Josh Niland, a chef who makes ice cream from fish eyeballs, and Kate Reid, an ex-Formula One designer who makes croissants described by the NY Times as potentially "the finest you will find anywhere in the world, and alone worth a trip across the dateline." Food and Drink vs. Food critic
[edit]Is the WikiProject Food and Drink page simply the updated version of the Food critic page? J1atUnivNewOrleans (talk) 05:28, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

Revamping the sources list

The article on Soup was recently promote to GA, and there is a Peer Review: Soup open for comments to improve it with a view of eventually going to FAC. I think the article has made good progress, but does it still reflect too Eurocentric a viewpoint, especially in the "Ancient times and later" section and "Modern times" section? In any case, soup fans, please participate in the Peer Review. --- Ssilvers (talk) 16:39, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
