Tip of the month:

  • When creating biographies, don't forget to use Template:DEFAULTSORT.
Accessible from "Wiki markup" at the foot of the page being edited,
it allows categories to be listed under the subject's family name rather than their first or given name.

Richard Hanania article

[edit]

Cool story, bro. That's all I have to say. I haven't been trolling or vandalizing at all, and my edits arguably fall under WP:NPOV. Not sure why you keep accusing me. Please stop. RationalWikian (talk) 16:57, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Citations: please don't give a page range; be specific

[edit]

Hello and thank your for your contributions. Could you please give the specific page number when citing from a book? Citing a range of thirteen pages of a book like you did for your Marwell cites on Josef Mengele makes it difficult to verify that the content you added is supported by the source provided. I have corrected the Mengele citations. Thank you, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:18, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Diannaa – thanks, can I ask how you got specific page numbers? I have an ebook version which is missing the exact page numbers, so I had to use the index to get the range of pages where topics are discussed (hence I used 100-113 for the eye studies). I'm guessing you might have extra access to books as a copyright checker, so I may need to acquire a paperback if I can't find access online. Zenomonoz (talk) 21:31, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have an actual book here. I got it at the library. In addition to the page range problem, you got the page number wrong when you said page 116 in the section "Myths and rejected anecdotes"; there's nothing there about the material you were trying to cite; the content (including the quotations) is on page 115. Please don't do that any more, especially on a Good Article.
You can search for a copy in a library near you using WorldCat. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:58, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Diannaa yes I have refrained from doing further work until I get a copy with page numbers. I think the original 116 was either based upon index, or based upon the page on ebook reader (which can change according to font size). Anyway, in my opinion, the good article status is problematic today, but it probably wasn't at the time it was designated GA. That's okay though. The article includes too much hearsay from the 1985 mock trial in Israel, which were repeated by the journalist Posner without scrutiny (although the historian Robert Jay Lifton did a more serious account). Zenomonoz (talk) 00:36, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I also appreciate your copy edits and minor adjustments, I'll follow your approach in future edits in terms of attributing to Marwell when needed (which I see you added in) as some of this is a subject of debate. Zenomonoz (talk) 00:40, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a good idea to rely too much on any one source. Unfortunately Marwell is the only book on the topic available in my area. We don't even have Posner & Ware any more. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:53, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree about relying too much on one source. On the other hand, Marwell is an authority on Mengele, he spent years just focused on him. There haven't been many books with a careful forensic approach. Paul Weindling also has useful chapters on Mengele that I plan to use. Zenomonoz (talk) 03:05, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There's several pages in Evans as well. I will look at it tomorrow. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 03:07, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there

[edit]

I can tell you and I are about to have a big fucking problem.

But after looking at your local and global block logs, I was just wondering, are you a white supremacist?

Don’t be bashful. Represent what you believe. Seppi333 (Insert ) 18:57, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What on earth. I have opened an ANI about your behavior because of this: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:Seppi333 incivility/harassment Zenomonoz (talk) 22:23, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Any other baseless accusations you would like to make while you are at it? Casting aspersions at me because I reverted you one time? Zenomonoz (talk) 23:00, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
