Welcome
[edit]
Hello, Xjx921! Welcome to Wikipedia! It appears that you are here to participate in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we highly encourage you to go through our training page that's specifically created and catered for students such as yourself:
If you need help, check out Wikipedia's page for questions. You can also ask me by visiting my user talk page and leaving a message, or you can ask your question on this page by editing it and placing {{Help me}}
before your question. Please make sure that you sign your messages on discussion pages, which is done by entering four tildes (~~~~) at the very end of it; this will automatically insert your username and the date. I also highly recommend that you review the advice for students page.
Before you create an article, make sure that you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one, please tell your instructor about creating one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know that the article is a subject of an educational assignment as well as aid your communication with them.
Here are some more pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page (editing policy)
- Introduction to Wikipedia
- Help pages index
- Visual editor tutorial
- Wikitext tutorial (if you're choosing to edit pages using the Wikitext source code instead of the VisualEditor)
- Wikitext cheatsheet
While editing:
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Be bold, but do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- Provide reliable sources to the content you add. If you are adding biomedical information, please follow this guideline.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay with us as a member of the community - even after your assignment is finished. Your time, energy, and your contributions will be highly valued and appreciated among us.

Removed edit from Chen Yufei
[edit]Hello, I'm Nikoledood. I wanted to let you know that an edit that you recently made to Chen Yufei has multiple issues that prevent it from being included as a part of Wikipedia.
I noticed that the citation that you provided as a source for your edit, does not actually support the text in your edit. It looks like the original source that you used was a wiki called Baidu Baike. As discussed at Wikipedia's policies on circular sourcing and self-published sources, wikis such as Wikipedia and Baidu Baike should not be used in citations because they are not considered reliable sources. In addition, copying from another source without properly citing it (even by translating it) is considered plagiarism. Copying from a copyrighted source such as Baidu Baike is also considered copyright infringement, and is strictly prohibited by Wikipedia's copyright policy. In short, you must support your text using reliable sources, you cannot copy text from other sources, and you must give proper credit where credit is due.
Because of these issues, I have removed your edits from the article. Do not let this discourage you. You are welcome to re-add the information using better references, perhaps from the website you originally cited. If you have any questions, feel free to ask for assistance at the Teahouse or Help desk whenever you like. Good luck! ~ Nikoledood (talk) 13:12, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- One more thing I would like to mention is that I would caution against using a large language model (an "AI" or other application using such technology) to translate or summarise sources. Text produced by these applications can be unreliable and unsuitable for an encyclopedia, so their output must be carefully checked. For example, in your edit, it states "she announced a hiatus from competition to study English in New Zealand." This is untrue, since Chen Yufei actually studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia, not New Zealand.
- I would also like to mention that it's best practice on Wikipedia to provide an edit summary for changes that you make to an article, and that it's poor etiquette to mark substantial changes to an article's content as a minor edit. Please remember to properly use edit summaries in the future. Thanks! ~ Nikoledood (talk) 13:23, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

A few suggestions on content—Campaign to clean up cyberspace
[edit]It is recommended to briefly include evaluations of the "Campaign to Clean Up Cyberspace" from foreign media or international organizations in the article to provide a more comprehensive perspective. In addition, some descriptions of the campaign's actual impact on society—such as its influence on online freedom of expression and content moderation on social media platforms—can be added to enhance the article's objectivity and depth.
