Arabelle Raphael

[edit]

WP:ABOUTSELF sources (such as Twitter) should not be relied upon for important claims such as the subject's nationality. The lead sentence should mention the country where the subject is currently a permanent resident, and should not mention previous nationalities nor the country of birth unless relevant to the subject's notability. Are there independent, reliable sources describing Raphael's nationality as French instead of American? —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 03:22, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Meanwhile I never once mentioned nor sourced Twitter. How many fucking times do I have to say French is not her previous nationality! It's her nationality! Period. The sources I gave clearly describe her as a French person who MOVED to America. Not American! What is so hard? It's you who is presuming her nationality despite clear evidence already sourced.
Being a permanent resident in America DOES NOT make someone American. So now the 13 million permanent residents of this country are now citizens because you said so? Trillfendi (talk) 14:10, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say anything about citizenship, which is not the same as nationality or permanent residency. In any case, I've started a discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Arabelle Raphael to resolve the issue. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 01:17, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Who are the most overlooked and interesting Women in Red? We've no idea,
but we're putting together our list of the 100 most interesting ex-Women in Red.
We are creating the list to celebrate 10 years of Women in Red and we hope to present it at Wikimania.
We are ignoring the obvious, so do you have a name or subject we should consider?
Can you suggest a DYK style hook?
If you are shy about editing that page, you are welcome to add ideas and comments on the talk page.

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help towards making the content produced as diverse and broad as possible!♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:16, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason why you removed the G4 tag? Your edit summary did not mention anything about it, which is why I decided to restore it. CycloneYoris talk! 01:15, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

While I’m unaware of what the article looked like when it was deleted or why user Lui Editor seems to think “Idk” is a reason it shouldn’t be speedily deleted, I’m doing what I can to fix whatever they were throwing at the wall and in my opinion a second deletion discussion (under the circumstances) would be better than speedy deletion.
