Wikipedia and copyright
[edit] Hello Surabhi9191! Your additions to U.S. International Development Finance Corporation have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 13:39, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I will keep that in mind. Surabhi9191 (talk) 14:38, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Could you please confirm if the issue was Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing regarding my edit that was removed. So, that I can re-edit the information. I just need clarity to fix my mistake. Waiting for your reply. Surabhi9191 (talk) 14:47, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 30
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Artificial intelligence in India, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rajiv Gandhi government. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

NavIC
[edit]Hey @Surabhi9191 I would like you to not to edit NavIC page because you don't cite accurate infos. As of now only 4 NavIC satellites are operational and others have experienced Atomic clocks failure. And please don't add 10 Yeats old reports Arjun8027 (talk) 14:14, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for replying. For clarity, in the remarks section, could you please include the sources for partial failures of IRNSS-1C, IRNSS-1D, IRNSS-1E, and IRNSS-1G. Similar to how it is mentioned for IRNSS-1A and NVS-02. Because, wiki pages of IRNSS-1C, IRNSS-1D, IRNSS-1E, and IRNSS-1G doesn't mention any failures. I removed the Partial Failure Status after unable to find sources that specifically talks about the partial failure of those satellites. Even for atomic clock failure, there is no mention of the above satellites other than IRNSS-1A.
- I only found this article from the Indian Express which talks about atomic clock failure but doesn't clearly mention the name of other satellites, apart from IRNSS-1A. https://indianexpress.com/article/technology/science/failing-clocks-in-space-worry-for-indias-gps-4721918/ Surabhi9191 (talk) 14:48, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- In this RTI reply you can find ISRO saying only 4 satellites are operational and ISRO chairman himself confirmed that in a recent pressmeet. Arjun8027 (talk) 15:06, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for sharing the link. I can see that IRNSS-1B, IRNSS-1C, IRNSS-1F and IRNSS-1I are providing PNT services. While in the tabulation, the status of all the mentioned satellites are showing as operational. But IRNSS-1C is denoted as partial failure. Can you please share the source mentioning problem in IRNSS-1C. RTI reply matches this article https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/health-of-irnss-1c-spacecraft-normal-says-isro/articleshow/45297958.cms?from=mdr which I previously edited.
- Also, is it possible to add the RTI reply link in the 'Remarks' section of the tabulation for reader's clarity. My reason for the edit was not to spam but add citation in the remark section regarding the partial failure as mentioned clearly for IRNSS-1A and NVS-02.
- P.S. Since, I failed to get the sources mentioning partial failures, hence previously I changed the status as operational. Surabhi9191 (talk) 15:51, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

Suggestions for creating an article, List of Indian military radars
[edit]I was thinking of creating an article listing India's military grade radars (mostly developed by India's DRDO), on the lines of the rather recently created List of Indian military missiles and List of active Indian military aircraft. This was because of the fact that many of the radars India developed does not have its article yet and it is being confusing as to where the details of those radars be included.
For example, Details of Ashwini LLTR radar by LRDE was included in List of equipment of the Indian Army until recently (I removed it since the radar is for the IAF not IA), it has been included in IACCS and, interestingly, is also present in Projects of DRDO#Navy (which is incorrect and confusing and lists all DRDO radars irrespective of whether or not they were meant for the service's use).
Initially, I want to include India's indigenous radars only which can and will be expanded to include all of active military radars irrespective of their origin. This way we can also reduce the load on the Projects of DRDO#Radars section. I have also raised the matter with other users including AbhijnanGhosh87, Shashpant and 4-RAZOR 01.
I am here to collect suggestions on the construction of the article and what certain categories to include there. Thanks, Aviator Jr (talk) 11:29, 7 July 2025 (UTC).
- @Aviator Jr Thank you for asking. I agree with you. I think a more comprehensive list that includes all radars (Indian public, private) rather than just DRDO radars. Only for foreign origin radars, include those names which are/were in use. Technical specs for many Indian radars are difficult to locate online compare to Western radars. Mostly found on forums where I'm not sure if they should be listed as sources on Wikipedia. Therefore, putting technical tabulation can be challenging. I would ask you to see what other wiki editors have to say. Surabhi9191 (talk) 12:54, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. As of now, I have a rough list of the radars (only military, not civilians). After I publish the article, you are free to add on civilian ones if you have the data. Aviator Jr (talk) 16:32, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Aviator Jr All right. Kindly go ahead and publish the article. I'll add on new information I get on radars later. Surabhi9191 (talk) 16:51, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Same here, will research on civilian aviation assets and public systems. AbhijnanGhosh87 (talk) 19:10, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
