Deletion of my article
[edit]Hello, recently my article about 徐文荣 was deleted and I was told I could reach out to the deleting administrator for further clarification. Could you please tell me the reason please? I had planned to translate the page on Xu Wenrong into Chinese, but I found that only more experienced editors are allowed to do so. As a result, I created a new Chinese page and uploaded the same content as the English version, then added interlanguage links. Can I ask if it could be brought back into a draft workspace? Thank you again for your support!

The Fred Bloggs Band
[edit]Hi Shirt58,
I see that you have deleted the page I started yesterday evening about the British band from Bristol UK, The Fred Bloggs Band. I created the page because the band, mostly active in the 1970s, has recently had a rebirth in popularity, with its song The Tribe attracting 8K views on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f29aqgjGF44 and lead singer also having an original song attracting a hundred times more plays than their usual Spotify count due to publication with BBE Music. I had formerly listed the band on Wikipedia's "List of Bristol Bands" page, and then created the FBB page so that Wikipedia visitors could follow the hyperlink to read more about the band. Would you consider reinstating the page so that I can work on it some more, and show notability? The band's members have worked with many established, notable UK musicians since their founding in the 1970s, and I think that Wikipedia readers might find this interesting. Interface administrator changes
- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
Speedy deletion nomination of N. Sasidharan
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on N. Sasidharan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. No objections to adding the Dreyfus affair template to this article, but if you're adding nav templates to articles, can you make sure you also add the article to the template? He's not on it at present. -- asilvering (talk) 15:13, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

The article Francis S.P. Ng has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Awarded a medal, but he's not made a major carveout in botany as far as I can tell.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JayCubby 23:23, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

Can we move page?
[edit]Hello! I just found a page in English called Kentavros Vrilission F.C., which is a Greek football club. It doesn't have much, but I will try to improve it as much as possible. However, the page isn't linked to the Greek page... Can that be fixed? KypEditor (talk) 07:29, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
Michael Owusu moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Michael Owusu. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Allblessed (talk) 10:48, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
