Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from fa:آرش_زرهتن_لهونی to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 08:40, 19 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Air pollution in Iran, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SO2. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hi there! Like I said in the AfD, I wanted to leave some suggestions for improving Allegations of manipulated economic data in the Islamic Republic of Iran. I think you've done good work on the article so far and obviously you should take all of my suggestions with a grain of salt, but since you asked for feedback I wanted to leave some ideas that you might find helpful.
My main concern is there are a few sections in the article where I don't really understand what the “allegations of manipulated economic data" being referenced are, particularly the sections on defence and academic degrees. And there are still several places where you seem to make your own accusations of data manipulation by placing statistics alongside each other (see WP:OR, WP:SYNTH). So I think the main thing you need to do is to stick much more closely to what is actually said in reliable secondary sources. What precise allegations of manipulated economic data have been made? Who has made each allegation, and what is their evidence? You also need to consider the importance of maintaining a neutral point of view. Does Iran deny the allegations? What do reliable sources say about the credibility of the claims?
I think the article in general would benefit from having a rough structure in each section much more like: “The Iranian government says [claim about economic data]. X has alleged that [claim] is [inflated/false/manipulated], citing [evidence]. These allegations have been judged [credible/not credible] by [insert reliable sources].” At the moment the article reads much more like an argumentative essay, where you’re bringing together different pieces of evidence to support your contention that Iran’s economic data is manipulated.
For instance, this sentence from the article is a really good example of what you should be aiming for: Similarly, former President Hassan Rouhani's claim of 7.4% economic growth during his tenure was met with skepticism from Iranian economists and lawmakers. Critics contended that the reported figures did not align with industrial output or employment trends.
(my only suggestion would here be to add a few more specifics from your cited source, like who the economists, lawmakers and critics actually are).
Whereas I don't understand the relevance of this paragraph at all. What is the allegation of manipulated economic data in this section, and who is making it? Iran suffers from over-education and over-supply of academic degrees. In 2015–2016, over 4.3 million students were enrolled in universities in Iran, which accounts for more than 5% of the country's total population, or 7.4% of its adult population (aged 19 and above). In comparison, in 2016, 20.4 million students, or a little over 6% of the U.S. population (8.3% of the U.S. adult population aged 19 and above), attended college. The U.S. economy was then approximately 47 times that of Iran's, and many of the graduates from U.S. colleges and universities were foreign nationals, who will likely contribute to the labor forces of their home countries.
I hope this helps, and like I said, I think you’ve done a good job on this article, so don’t be discouraged if it ends up being draftified — it just means you get a bit more time to develop it in draftspace. MCE89 (talk) 15:17, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- @MCE89 Thank you for your considerate and detailed feedback! And of course thank you for all your encouragement. - Dear sophisticatedevening
- I placed the necessary citations in the text as required. However, they were removed in this edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:The_Political_Economy_of_Theocracy&diff=prev&oldid=1279176286.
- The user's argument that the citations are self referencing is inaccurate. The book itself is a collection of papers. I cited different papers published in the book. Each citation refers to a different paper.
- If you would be so kind, can you restore the page?
- Thank you Razgura (talk) 10:30, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- It's been restored, however it still needs a lot of work to be ready for mainspace. Sophisticatedevening (talk) 10:37, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you
- If citations aren't the issue I'm unsure what else needs improving. The article seems to be at a reasonable level.
- Thank you Razgura (talk) 11:59, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- The article is written a lot more like an essay than an encyclopedic article. I would check out the manual of style to help you out. Sophisticatedevening (talk) 12:29, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I revised the article according to Wikipedia's style manual. Could you check it, please? Razgura (talk) 13:04, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- The article is still written in an essay-like style. Try to avoid writing it like a bullet point analysis, and also unbold the headings. Check out Four Upbuilding Discourses, 1843 as an example for reference if you need. Sophisticatedevening (talk) 13:13, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

Hello Razgura, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Majid Azami, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Majid Azami.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Czarking0}}

- Hi Czarking0, Thank you for your kind message, it genuinely meant a lot. I definitely don’t feel like it was a waste of time. On the contrary, I’m glad the discussion contributed in any way, especially if it helped bring more awareness to a topic that’s often underrepresented on Wikipedia.
- I also really appreciated the respectful and thoughtful way you engaged with everything. It made the whole process feel like a constructive exchange, not just a debate over policy.
- Thanks again, and I look forward to crossing paths again in future discussions.
- All the best, Razgura (talk) 12:18, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
