The IP is back

[edit]

I guess his block wore off... he is back to making ridiculous edits to Dodgers season pages.. not as extreme as before but he is doing a lot of really ugly color coding in the gamelogs that is making a mess of them. Spanneraol (talk) 19:17, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh no... Gonna have to report them before they make a huge mess again. Edit: So I went back to the first article I tracked them down on in December. Sure enough its the same IP addresses. I've reported them again. Omnis Scientia (talk) 19:21, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, fixing his stuff is a pain.. hope he stays gone this time.. I just cant figure out why he is doing all this.. it's a lot of work and it looks terrible. Spanneraol (talk) 02:25, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! :) And yeah, I don't get it either. It's a lot of work which doesn't add anything of substance to the articles. Omnis Scientia (talk) 08:37, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see you've come by the IP's talk page - I agree with you, which is why you'll notice I haven't said I believe their promise to change. But, baby steps. If you feel tempted to clap back any harder than that, I'd urge you to sit on it instead, at least for now. More flies with honey, etc. They're almost certainly not going to stay gone, no matter how much we might hope, but since they're actually talking to us now we might have a chance to talk them out of it and get them doing something useful, or at least something that doesn't drive you guys crazy. -- asilvering (talk) 20:23, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Asilvering, it wasn't meant as a clapback but I'm really sorry. It wasn't my intention to come across as such. Omnis Scientia (talk) 20:31, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No need to apologize, really! I just wanted to say something before it had a chance to escalate, in case it did. -- asilvering (talk) 20:39, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understood but still! I should have been more careful but I let my frustration get the better of me. 😅 Omnis Scientia (talk) 21:09, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Asilvering:, this user is back... now using 64.18.47.211 and continuing to make the same edits, despite what he has said. Spanneraol (talk) 20:37, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Reported this one as well, just now. They've used this IP before too. Omnis Scientia (talk) 21:12, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alas. Well, it was worth a try. -- asilvering (talk) 01:03, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I fully explained my deletion in the edit summary. All you had to do was look. Not to worry, I manually undid your pointless deletion. I made Wikipedia better by correcting your error. You're welcome. 76.71.140.194 (talk) 03:58, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We are ignoring the obvious, so do you have a name or subject we should consider?
Can you suggest a DYK style hook?
If you are shy about editing that page, you are welcome to add ideas and comments on the talk page.

Hi, thanks so much for expanding this page. That was one hell of a French Open final! Avatar5991 (talk) 20:08, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Avatar5991, indeed it was! One of the best I've ever seen - and I've seen a lot of them! Omnis Scientia (talk) 20:30, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and happy birthday! Avatar5991 (talk) 23:50, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
