Your AFC submission

[edit]

Hello. I just came across your AFC submission on Draft:Jeff Capri. I would like to give you some advise to give it a higher chance of success.

You may want to start your article with a lead section to describe the subject of your article.

Secondly, I suggest you remove some subjective descriptions which appear to be like a fansite, such as the line "he is considered by his peers to be one of the nicest, funniest comics of his generation", which is an opinion and not a fact, while no sources are provided.

The organisation can be improved, for example in the sentence "Born in New York City, yet raised entirely in Newport Beach, California." An improvement would be to put this under a "Life" section, instead of a "Jeff Capri" section. Note that a biographical article rarely has a section under the subject's name because it is most likely already mentioned in the title. Also, such claims would have to be referenced with a reliable source.

Finally, on referencing, there is a lot of room for improvement. Instead of placing hyperlinks directly within the text, try to use citations. Of course, it is advised that you find some reliable sources as stated above, rather than, for example, using the personal website of Dick Capri. The sources you have listed and the hyperlinks within the main text simply are not reliable and independent enough.

I see, after a quick Google search, that there is some coverage for Jeff Capri, but most of the mentions are in sources which are not generally regarded as "reliable" by Wikipedia. Perhaps he has some fame, but he may not fully meet notability guidelines, which you may look up. If you find it too difficult to add suitable sources, it may be that it is simply not wise to submit this for creation for now, until notability has been established. Jeff Capri moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Jeff Capri. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and currently lacks inline citations. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 00:04, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
