April 2023

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Health insurance. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1]. Also see WP:COI KH-1 (talk) 03:53, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. ok. Thanks for the explanation. I think the old link on there was broken and thought the resource was going to be useful. I'll have a detailed read to the guidelines. Thanks. EricYesYes (talk) 18:48, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sam Laprade moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Sam Laprade. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Polygnotus (talk) 15:14, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed the tone significantly and made all changes you mentioned. I moved article to main. Can you please review? EricYesYes (talk) 01:18, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I moved my reply to Talk:Sam_Laprade#More. Polygnotus (talk) 01:55, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

UW-COI

[edit]

Information icon Hello, EricYesYes. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Polygnotus (talk) 15:17, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for moving this to draft and for the pointers.
Sourcing & tone
I’ve removed promotional language. All major assertions now have inline citations.
Conflict of interest
I appeared as a guest on Sam Laprade’s show last year, but received no payment or other compensation and am not editing on her behalf. I’ve retained a neutral, fact-based tone throughout. If you think a formal {{Paid‐contribution}} disclosure template is still required, please let me know.
Happy to make any further edits so the draft can go through Articles for Creation. EricYesYes (talk) 16:25, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I think that with COI declarations its always best to err on the side of caution, so I would recommend reading WP:DISCLOSE. Thanks, Polygnotus (talk) 16:29, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll drop some advice on the talkpage, Draft talk:Sam Laprade. Polygnotus (talk) 16:34, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, this is about Sam Laprade. Polygnotus (talk) 15:18, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

[edit]

Please note that pages in your personal sandbox, such as User:EricYesYes/sandbox, are not allowed to be filed in categories alongside finished articles, per WP:USERNOCAT. Since I've had to remove the page from categories three times now, please do not readd it to categories again, because it isn't allowed to be in categories. Thanks.
