Will do a review on this.--ZKang123 (talk · contribs) 01:41, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
Lead
[edit]- which provides certain services – why "certain" services?
- This is some standard wording because LMAs do vary in shape and size. The contracts themselves are available in the public inspection file: https://publicfiles.fcc.gov/tv-profile/KPTM/Time%20Brokerage%20Agreements/b0e0ba1f-7d30-7309-70a7-8a9291956a04
- While KPTM aired a 9 p.m. newscast for more than 30 years, a major attempt at expansion in the late 1990s was rolled back for economic reasons less than 18 months later – The sentences don't really connect. Unless there were other newscasts scheduled during the expansion. Might just suggest splitting
History
[edit]- with an eye to establishing – might reword
with the aim to establish...
- Competition grew crowded for channel 15 – I'm unsure if "grew crowded" is encyclopedic
- appealed the FCC's decision to the commission's review board and then to the full FCC – The full FCC as in, the organisation as a whole? Also I might reword to
appealed the decision to the FCC review board and then to the full FCC...
- The FCC's commissioners. Back in those days, when you appealed the initial decision, it went to a review board. And if you lost there, you could appeal to the commission itself. If you lost there, your only recourse was the courts.
- Ref 8 checks out on the initials
- Ref 14 checks out. But is there any more reason why Pappas filed for bankruptcy? There seems to be a bit of a gap on its fortunes.
- Ref 16 checks out
- Also in 2009, the station completed its conversion to digital television on June 12. – A bit awkward/unencyclopedic to start off with "Also in 2009". Might rewrite
The station had completed its conversion to digital television on June 12, 2009.
- For Ref 22, I would actually have Sinclair Broadcast Group to be the publisher instead of the author. But this is a rather trivial source formatting comment
News operation
[edit]- Ref 33 checks out but I think there needs to be another source to show it's part of the global recession. Because (and this is just my impression) the source doesn't really specify what economic recession and it could be referring to a slowdown in Omaha's or US's economy. There needs to be a more direct link.--ZKang123 (talk · contribs) 03:00, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- Fair. In hindsight, it's definitely that, but we can't directly say it.
- Refs 31, 35, 40 check out
Technical information
[edit]- Are there details as to where the studios and transmitters are?--ZKang123 (talk · contribs) 03:00, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- That's in the lead, and the citation for it would be the public file and technical information.
Not much issues really for this relatively short article. Putting on hold.--ZKang123 (talk · contribs) 03:00, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Alright, everything is satisfactory. Passed.--ZKang123 (talk · contribs) 12:35, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
