  • The Notre Dame Official Football Review described since you already said "Notre Dame" earlier, I would remove this second reference to it.
  • for his senior, weighing 212 pounds are you missing "year"?
  • He was awarded Notre Dame's athletic council member that year for being the team's best blocker. I don't understand this sentence? You may need to say "medal" instead of "member"?
  • He married Elsie Goethals in 1935 and had three children with her.-->He married Elsie Goethals that same year and had three children with her.
  • He died on April 30, 1954, in South Bend, of a heart attack.[2] He was age 43 at his death. I would combine these.
  • Regarding the new selection system for captain, it looks like it was a new captain for each game. You should explain this.
  • References:
    • All appear to be consistently formatted and appropriate for what is being cited
    • Spot checks: 2, 5, 7, 9, 11
    • Ref 2 should be titled "Harry F. Wunsch"

Did you know nomination

[edit]

  • Source: p. 42 in pdf (or 40) - he was the only player from South Bend, Notre Dame's location - I think that would meet the description "only local player"
