[edit]The Notre Dame Official Football Review described
since you already said "Notre Dame" earlier, I would remove this second reference to it.for his senior, weighing 212 pounds
are you missing "year"?He was awarded Notre Dame's athletic council member that year for being the team's best blocker.
I don't understand this sentence? You may need to say "medal" instead of "member"?He married Elsie Goethals in 1935 and had three children with her.
-->He married Elsie Goethals that same year and had three children with her.
He died on April 30, 1954, in South Bend, of a heart attack.[2] He was age 43 at his death.
I would combine these.- Regarding the new selection system for captain, it looks like it was a new captain for each game. You should explain this.
- BeanieFan11, I think you missed this one. Maybe just note that the new selection system was a new captain for each game. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:30, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oops! I added that now @Gonzo fan2007: BeanieFan11 (talk) 15:32, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

- All appear to be consistently formatted and appropriate for what is being cited
- Spot checks: 2, 5, 7, 9, 11
- Ref 2 should be titled "Harry F. Wunsch"
Nice work! « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 23:05, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

- ... that while playing football for the University of Notre Dame, Harry Wunsch was the only local player on the team?
- Source: p. 42 in pdf (or 40) - he was the only player from South Bend, Notre Dame's location - I think that would meet the description "only local player"

The article is new enough (promoted to GA on 24 April 2025), is long enough (2696 characters of prose), has no apparent sourcing or copyright issues (per GA review), and is presentable (per GA review and readthrough). The hook is cited, short enough, but I don't find it very interesting. The cited source refers to South Bend, Indiana, but the University of Notre Dame article indicates the university is located in Notre Dame, Indiana, therefore players from Notre Dame, Indiana, would be local players as well, so I'm not sure the hook isn't misleading or incorrect in that way. Is there anything else in the article ("savage tackler" perhaps) that could work as a hook? QPQ is done. – Editør (talk) 22:11, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe something like, ALT1 ... that though described as "short and fat", NFL player Harry Wunsch was a "savage tackler"? BeanieFan11 (talk) 22:16, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- I think it is an improvement. The source doesn't really say he was fat but that he appeared so. And he played only one year in the NFL, most years elsewhere, so perhaps like this:
- ALT2 ... that though he appeared "short and fat", American football player Harry Wunsch was a "savage tackler"?
- What do you think? – Editør (talk) 22:30, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- That works. BeanieFan11 (talk) 22:33, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
