This page provides a high level overview of how WikiProject Green Bay Packers assesses articles within its purview. Assessment is more an art than a science, although the guidelines below should provide some clarity on the general approach.
Instructions

When adding the Green Bay Packers template, please consider adding the {{WikiProject National Football League}}, if necessary. If there are multiple WikiProjects banners, please use {{WikiProjectBannerShell}} to better manage the banners.
Class
[edit]An article's quality assessment is recorded using the |class= parameter in the {{WikiProject banner shell}}. Articles that have the {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}} banner template on their talk page will be added to the appropriate categories by quality.
The following standard grades may be used to describe the quality of mainspace articles (see Wikipedia:Content assessment for assessment criteria):

Importance
[edit]The following values may be used for the importance parameter. Importance is a lot more subjective and less set in stone. Please remember though that this is the importance scale for the Green Bay Packers, not overall importance (An example is Kurt Warner, who is a highly important article to the NFL or the Rams, but is low-importance to the Packers because he had no significant impact while part of the Packers).

- Top (adds articles to Category:Top-importance Green Bay Packers articles) - Green Bay Packers, History of the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau Field, City Stadium (Green Bay), each Pro Football Hall of Fame player article, championship season articles, Super Bowl and championship game articles, Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay, Wisconsin
- High (adds articles to Category:High-importance Green Bay Packers articles) - Organizational articles, lists, records, culture, lore, other stadiums and training facilities, playoff seasons, rivalries, famous games or plays, winning head coaches and Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame
- Mid (adds articles to Category:Mid-importance Green Bay Packers articles) - Players that played for more than 3 years, season years that didn't end in the playoffs, broadcasters, other Packers personnel, executive staff, head coaches with a losing record, books, theatrical plays and films

It should be of a length suitable for the subject, appropriately structured, and be well referenced by a broad array of reliable sources. It should be well illustrated, with no copyright problems. Only minor style issues and other details need to be addressed before submission as a featured article candidate. See the A-Class assessment departments of some of the larger WikiProjects (e.g. WikiProject Military history). |
