- ... that Door Kickers 2: Task Force North was released in early access after a fan asked the developers to "release the damn game"?
- ALT1: ... that after four years in development hell and two delays, Door Kickers 2: Task Force North was released in early access because a fan asked the developers to? Source: PC Gamer, Steam Forums; just alternate wording to emphasize how silly this is
- ALT2: ... that when a fan asked the developers of Door Kickers 2: Task Force North to "release the damn game", they did? Source: PC Gamer, Steam Forums; same reason as above

- Comment: Yeah, I'm kind of riding on this factoid carrying it into DYK. I personally favor ALT2 followed by ALT0.

QPQ: Done. |
Overall: Article is long enough, a copyvio check returns no issues, and QPQ is done. The hook is verified in the PC Gamer ref, ALT0 or ALT2 read most interesting to me. ALT1 theoretically works, but I might reword to avoid to avoid "development hell" if at all possible, just since that's a specific term not used in the source. My biggest concern is the WP:RSPREDDIT source used in the article. This would classify as a WP:SPS, but can we actually verify that the author of that reddit comment is a developer and not a random claiming to be one? TheDoctorWho (talk) 19:22, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
- @TheDoctorWho: I'm fairly certain Pintea is a dev or at least a KillHouse employee, he's actually the one who replied to the Steam Forums post being referred to in this hook. There's no one listed as "Pintea" in Door Kickers 2's credits, but here's a page on KillHouse's website that indicates he was the one who posted a lot of the company's announcements up to 2020.
- But I'm not sure how I'd be able to definitively verify that the Reddit account is 200% him, though it certainly seems like it is him. I doubt I can just ask him as proof, right? If the Reddit source is the only part in question here, I can just remove it, it's whatever. AdoTang (talk) 00:52, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
