The 10 June 1985 image taken by Ian KirbyImage was taken by Steve Fowler in 1983Taken by Tim Rees in 1981, in an older liveryAnother image also was taken by Tim, with newer livery
The current image of the aircraft involved was taken in 1981. Before image was used is the image was taken on 10 June 1985, which was replaced by the 1981 image by @Zaptain United with a reason: I replace the image because you can see more of the plane and livery as the previous image was taken from a more bottom angle. This is the reasonable explain, and nobody protest. However, more recent images show that VT-EFO has been changed with Indian word on the tail fin and English word on aircraft body, while the 1981 image has both English word on the tail fin and aircraft body. Since the aircraft has a little change so it's better if we have such an image. I replaced it by another image was taken on 31 June 1985, however, @Susrage reverted it and explain: The original photo is much clearer in showing the registration and livery. The newer one is find but it isn’t as good. So I found another image, and this was taken in 1983, I think it is fine, but @Fadedreality556 removed it and this user want to get consensus. And this user also reverted my same edits many times with the same reason. Since the reason I use it is clear, I used the 1983 image again, and see that this is not needed to talk. And @GhostOfDanGurney reverted it and warning me.
As someone who changed the image to the current one, I would pick the photo taken by Steve Fowler. It has a sky background meaning no distractions in the background. It had the newer livery, and it shows the aircraft the best. The photo by Tim Rees has lighting from the sun blocking out part of the Air India logo and the current one has an old livery. The Ian Kirby one is taken from such a bad angle which is disappointing because it is the most recent one, but it does not show most of the aircraft. Whenever permission is guaranteed, we should use this picture: [1]. For now, however, the newer Tim Rees picture should be used. Someone changed to use the old Tim Rees picture, so I'll remove that. GalacticOrbits (talk) 04:11, 28 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
