[edit]A regularly scheduled international cargo flight operated by an ATL-98 Carvair that crashed after 2 engine failures and fires and an inability to maintain altitude, leading to a crash into industrial buildings in Miami, Florida, killing all four crew members on board and 6 people on the ground.
A mid-air collision between two Avianca flights, both operating domestic passenger flights, using Douglas DC-3As. The flight numbers were flight 630 and flight 626. The mid-air collision occurred at 06:53 local time, killing a total of 38 people on both planes.
A regularly scheduled international passenger flight operated by Alitalia, using a Douglas DC-8-43, registered as I-DIWF. The aircraft crashed into a mountain while attempting a go around, killing 12 of the 95 people on board.
1970 fatal runway overrun which killed 2 of the 55 people on board the Boeing 727-2A7 registered as N8790R. The aircraft was on a scheduled international passenger flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Harry S. Truman Airport, with a stopover in San Juan International Airport.
