about the Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino "rumor" after Imee Marcos left Alyansa?

[edit]

I think this one probably should put it on Wikipedia for real.

thanks. PaulGorduiz106 (talk) 12:44, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to add this, but WhiteStar2000 placed the fact that Marcos withdrew fron Alyansa under the "Coalitions" section, removing it from the "Campaign" section. The "Coalitions" section is meant to be a backgrounder how coalitions were formed, up until the filing of candidacies. This ruins basic storytelling where events have to be in chronological order (LOL). Perhaps he has to explain himself first before this is added, because the fact that Marcos withdrew is the reason why these rumors came about. Howard the Duck (talk) 09:58, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that was ZoomerJournalist who removed the reference for Marcos' withdrawal from Alyansa. WhiteStar2000 (talk) 13:44, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Man for a supposed journalist, this person does not write in the chronological order. Even Filipino telenovelas do that LOL. Howard the Duck (talk) 14:07, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

latest Publicus Asia survey

[edit]

can anyone added the latest Publicus Asia survey please?

https://publicusasia.com/posts/press%20release/pdp-bets-lead-senate-preference-survey-pahayag

Thanks PaulGorduiz106 (talk) 09:59, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"C. Villar" in surveys section

[edit]

Who is the other Villar that we had to distinguish it with "C."? Howard the Duck (talk) 11:14, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Heidi Mendoza is not on the KiBam senatorial slate

[edit]

Even though many, including Senator and campaign manager Risa Hontiveros, endorses her doesn't mean that she will be officially included on the slate. Thewideawake1 (talk) 02:30, 12 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder what would it take for her inclusion. The three of them together are included in many campaign materials. The Liberal Party endorsed Mendoza. Hontiveros, on her personal capacity, endorsed Mendoza. I dunno if KANP already endorsed Mendoza. Maybe a rename of the KiBam ticket is what it would take. Howard the Duck (talk) 14:21, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We should have wait until she officially joined the slate, just like Richard Mata officially joining the PDP senatorial slate on April 10th. Thewideawake1 (talk) 23:22, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

new OCTA Research survey

[edit]

it's here now. https://www.newswatchplus.ph/news/nwp/2025/4/28/octa-april-senatorial-survey.html Thewideawake1 (talk) 04:35, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What to add for April

[edit]

The only thing in my opinion is that April marks a string of newer endorsements, often crossing alliances and party lines (VP Sara endorsing Imee and Camille, the other Duterte additions (see DuterTen#Inclusion of +2), Leni seemingly endorsing Abalos and Pacquiao, Liberal and Akbayan endorsing Heidi Mendoza, etc)

If there are more to add, let me know before I begin drafting - I do not have time to edit. Thanks Caehlla2357 (talk) 04:42, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

for Heidi Mendoza, we'll just have to wait to officially confirmed Heidi Mendoza as part of the opposition ticket because that despite that both Liberal and Akbayan, as well as Leni and Risa endorsed her, there's no official endorsement from either the Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino party (can't find their social media posts about her) and from both Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan (and the name is still KiBam instead). Thewideawake1 (talk) 08:36, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As stated on #about the Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino "rumor" after Imee Marcos left Alyansa? above, all that happened during April should be on that section, and not distributed on several sections just as what is done now. I have added the Alyansa roster changes in the "Campaign" section but the not-so-aptly named ZoomerJournalist reverted that and placed it on the "Coalitions" section. Now there's no chronological order of what happened that's why no prose has been added at least by me. Howard the Duck (talk) 10:54, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

new Publicus Asia survey

[edit]

it's here now. https://www.publicusasia.com/posts/pahayag/may-2025-senate-preference-survey-senatus-2-executive-summary Thewideawake1 (talk) 06:13, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This discussion aims to change Alyansa's color to red from blue. Howard the Duck (talk) 21:47, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Needs an update.

[edit]

I mean, don't we already have an unofficial and partial tally? Editors need to stand by for a tally, I guess. 180.191.68.62 (talk) 21:50, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

COMELEC will canvass votes later this week and we'd have partial and official tally that will be added here. Howard the Duck (talk) 15:57, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]

Both Makabayan and Riding in Tandem both got more votes than the party with the fewest votes that won a seat. If we're adding Makabayan, we should add Riding in Tandem as well. Howard the Duck (talk) 09:41, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

maps of the first-place candidates by province as well as the video of the proclamation ceremony

[edit]

the 2022 Senate election has both of them, so can anyone would make an map on it, and upload the proclamation ceremony on the Wikimedia Commons? (as the video in question is published in public domain) Thewideawake1 (talk) 11:20, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Concern on the map of the Senate election where “KiBam” is not specifically included

[edit]

I have noted that KiBam has made significant gains from voters across provinces and regions in the country. Certain provinces like where Bam Aquino gained No. 1 is not specified on the map and only “majority” and “minority” are listed. Thank you. Enzoeditwikicom (talk) 23:54, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

they only ran two candidates, as opposed to Alyansa, which ran 11 candidates and DuterTen has 10 candidates (including 2 guest candidates). We have to wait for Howard the Duck to make a map about Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino about their performances (in either individual or in coalition) in all provinces. Thewideawake1 (talk) 00:26, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There's only two of them so they don't really reflect on maps such as this. The two major tickets always have at least 4 people in the magic 12. I can imagine if this were to barangays this could be different. Howard the Duck (talk) 07:39, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've created a separate KiBam map and placed it along with the Alyansa and DuterTen maps. Howard the Duck (talk) 10:50, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
and also the first-place candidates per provinces as well like this one for example. Thewideawake1 (talk) 11:52, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did not do that in 2022, and I'll let other people do that for this election. For me, these "#1 maps" do not show a wholistic view of the election, and mostly entrenches even deeper personalistic and patronage politics. Howard the Duck (talk) 12:12, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
