List of people executed in the United States in 1957
Appearance
Sixty-nine people, sixty-eight male and one female, were executed in the United States in 1957, forty-eight by electrocution, sixteen by gas chamber, and five by hanging.[1]
The District of Columbia would conduct its final execution this year, before abolishing capital punishment in 1981.[2]
