Abdul Muhaimin Bin Abdul Malik (born 5 April 1989)[1] is a Singaporean politician and engineer. A member of the Workers' Party (WP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Compassvale division of Sengkang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) and a deputy organising secretary of the WP since 2025.[2][3]

Early life

[edit]

The eldest of four children, Muhaimin graduated from the Nanyang Technological University in 2015, with a degree in mechanical engineering.[1][4]

Career

[edit]

Muhaimin began his career at Aljunied–Hougang Town Council (AHTC) as an assistant lift manager where he was in charge of multiple projects.[4][5]

Prior to the 2025 general election, he was a senior property manager with AHTC.[4]

Muhaimin was fielded in the 2025 general election to contest as part of a four-member team in Sengkang GRC on the WP ticket against the governing People's Action Party (PAP), which was trying to unseat the WP in the GRC. His running mates were incumbents Jamus Lim, He Ting Ru and Louis Chua.[6]

On 3 May 2025, Muhaimin and the rest of the WP team were elected to Parliament after securing 56.31% of the vote.[6] He was then appointed the Vice-Chairman of the Sengkang Town Council (SKTC).[7]

Personal life

[edit]

Muhaimin was named as an inspirational patient by SingHealth in 2011. On 6 April 2010, at age 21, Muhaimin had met with a serious accident where he was run over by a lorry. Admitted to the Changi General Hospital, he was bedridden for two months and had underwent more than seven months of treatment, surgeries and physiotherapy.[1]

Muhaimin plays video games as a hobby. He also enjoys playing football and badminton for leisure.[2]
