Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon
[edit]
Hello WikiProject Southeast Asia:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!
Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
We hope to see you there!

[edit]The Pontian boat was a lashed-lug boat built in the 3rd to 5th century CE and discovered near the town of Pontian, in southern Pahang, Malaysia by British archaeologist Ivor Evans in 1926. It is one of the earliest examples of boat-building in Southeast Asia.

It would be great if someone would create an article about it. Mathglot (talk) 08:41, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

Start of the History of ASEAN draft
[edit]Hi all!
I wanted to share that I and some couple of editors, have been working on a new draft article titled History of ASEAN.
This was made after the main ASEAN article's history segment was cut due to being too long. While Wikipedia has a comprehensive article on the History of Southeast Asia, there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated article focusing on the institutional and political history of ASEAN as a regional organization. Not vis-à-vis to the existence of History of the European Union. The draft is coming along well so far, but I’d welcome any contributions from others who are interested in the ASEAN topic—especially anyone involved in this WikiProject. Whether it's expanding sections, suggesting sources, or reviewing structure and tone, all help is appreciated.
Feel free to take a look around the draft here: Draft:History of ASEAN. Cheers! - Kaliper1 (talk) 15:02, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
