MergeDedicated freight corridors in India into Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India. The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India is the owner and the operator of the Dedicated freight corridors in India, having two articles on same subject is confusing. Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India is a govt. undertaking company that owns, operates the freight corridors. I highly recommend on merging this article with Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thewikizoomer (talk • contribs) 10:25, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
MergeDiana Prince into Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman in other media. I created a merge proposal discussion here after prior attempts years ago did not gain much traction. With no responses from any of the tagged WikiProjects notified after nearly two weeks, I am now bringing notice of this proposal here in the hopes of garnering a consensus and speeding up this process. MergeList of fictional artificial intelligences into List of fictional computers. There is no clear criterion to distinguish when a computing device belongs on the fictional computers list versus the fictional artificial intelligences list, and many of the fictional computers are in fact fictional artificial intelligences. Suggest merging to the computers list as that list is significantly more robust. Dash77 (talk) 22:58, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
Articles were tagged almost half a year ago, but it appears to have been ignored, so I'm taking it to this page to raise awareness. The discussion is here. 100.7.34.111 (talk) 21:01, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
@Voorts: Hey there. I took it upon myself to complete the merge after closing the discussion. Hopefully, I completed all the necessary steps. This is only the second time I've performed a merge. I only merged a small portion of the text into the target page. The reason being (1) Much of it was already covered in the target page. (2) A lot of the content on the page that was to be redirected was unsourced, or the references cited were bogus in that they did not verify the cited text. I would say it was even liberal to merge the text that I did. I will leave it up to the rest of the community to decide if anything more should be added or removed. Cheers. --Griboski (talk) 02:20, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
MergeEagleCam into IM-1. I'm personally against this merge, and I'd like EagleCam to remain its own article, but the discussion is getting longer, less concise, and is heading towards a standstill / no consensus. I believe we could use some more opinions from diverse backgrounds to reach a consensus, even if it doesn't lead to the result I personally want. SpacePod9 (talk) 03:44, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
MergeAcer Aspire laptops into Acer Aspire. The Laptop specific article already uses text from the primary article, and only offers specifications for specific laptop models, like a product line-up. The "Laptops" page has been a proposed merge as early as 2011, and I think it would make things more clear and succinct. 192.77.12.11 (talk) 04:46, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
MergeBritish Lung Foundation and Asthma UK into a new Asthma and Lung UK article. These two organisations have merged and now operate as a single organisation, Asthma + Lung UK (ie they are defunct as separate entities). I've mentioned this on their respective Talk pages and added merge banners to each of them, but I don't think I've heard anything on this (apologies if I've missed it!) - so am flagging it on this page. I have a draft article ready if needed. Any advice on next steps welcome! KTnow (talk) 14:10, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for your advice @Choucas Bleu, @Toadspike and @Klbrain. I've created a new draft here: Draft:Asthma + Lung UK. It doesn't reflect ALL the content from the two original pages (British Lung Foundation and Asthma UK) since much of the content was poorly sourced. I've pulled across content which I managed to find good sources for. One question: I can't redirect the original pages to the new page until the new page is live. Is it just a case now of waiting for an editor to review it? Or can I make it live myself? Thanks! KTnow (talk) 11:38, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
MergeUltra-processed food and Hyperpalatable food into Nova classification. There are no real competing definitions of "ultra-processed food" to the Nova classification's definition, so there isn't really a need for a separate article. "Hyperpalability" is also a concept generally not discussed outside of the concept of "ultra-processed food", but as it does have an independent definition I'm more willing to be convinced it should be kept as a separate article. Discussion is here. I think this is where I'm meant to put this.--Eldomtom2 (talk) 18:22, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Merge: Te Whanganui-a-Tara into Wellington Harbour. These pages are directed to the same subject, with Te Whanganui-a-Tara being the Māori name for the harbour. The information on the Te Whanganui-a-Tara page not already included on the Wellington Harbour page, such as the mythology section, could be readily incorporated into that page. -Radicuil (talk) 01:04, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
MergeCacodemon into Demon. The source article was mostly an WP:EXAMPLEFARM and after cutting said farm, there isn't a whole lot left. Merger discussion has been running for a week, mostly opposed, and discussion has turned to the validity of various examples. Some examples have been restored, some not. Wider discussion may or may not solidify a consensus. Either way, this is not a unanimous decision and therefore requires an uninvolved closer. MergeGeomatic engineering into Geomatics. This is the 2nd time the merge has been proposed, and the discussion has stagnated with one in favor in addition to the one who proposed the merge (me), and one against. I have requested feedback from users of both Wikiproject maps and Wikiproject geography. Merge is proving controversial and would need assistance from uninvolved editor(s) in determining whether to merge the pages. The merge discussion has been open since December, I don't want to act on a consensus of just two against one. Please note that there are potential plagiarism and source issues on the geomatics engineering page.
MergeTimeline of U2 to U2 The former article needs some work, and could easily be merged into the latter. The U2 timeline article is not great, and the U2 article could benefit from expanded history section. Geardona (talk) 02:56, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
MergeStephen Paddock into 2017 Las Vegas shooting. Paddock is not notable outside of the 2017 Las Vegas shooting and therefore the content of his article can be condensed and contained within the event artcile. Because the Paddock article is of a controversial nature and B classification, uninvolved editor assistance is requested per item 3. Per guidelines, discussion started here on the target page. Thank you for your assistance. Geeky Randy (talk) 13:41, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
