Little River and Kaitorete are (tentatively) the Wikipedian at Large focus project for September 2025.
Little River / Wairewa is main town on the isthmus that connects the peninsula to the Canterbury Plains, although it’s not generally known as an isthmus. This low-lying lake-filled geography is responsible for James Cook mistaking Banks Peninsula for an island. Other settlements are Birdlings Flat and Motukarara.
