Hey everyone, I'm back with another episode list. This time for Stranger Things, a weird mix between science-fiction, drama, and horror, this television series is a bit far out there for what I typically enjoy, but does remain one of my favorites. I just expanded the lead and added an image on this and performed some general cleanup in other areas. That said, I believe that this list now meets the featured list criteria do to its broad coverage and sourcing. Note: IA Bot is currently experiencing a high backlog so I wasn't able to archive everything before initiating this nomination. This typically clears up in a day or two so I'll return at such a time and process the archives. TheDoctorWho (talk) 06:19, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Drive-by comment: In series overview table, the scope for Season 4 should be rowgroup. Since this is coming from a template, you'll have to make changes there. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 07:55, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- @MPGuy2824 Just to confirm that this is now fixed? -- Alex_21 TALK 03:35, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- "The first season of eight episodes released " => "The first season of eight episodes was released "
- " the first seven episodes of season four released on May 27, 2022, and the final two released on July 1, 2022" => " the first seven episodes of season four were released on May 27, 2022, and the final two were released on July 1, 2022"
- "and release in 2025" => "and be released in 2025"
- "which has been attributed to the extended time period between release dates" => "which has contributed to the extended time period between release dates" -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 17:33, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- "The fourth season was delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on television in the United States" I don't think "in the United States" is needed as its stated to be an Ameircan show
- "The series has won several accolades and been nominated for several others." I don't know about the repetition of "several"
- The final paragraph says it has a "cult following" but is it really a cult following if the show is as popular as it is?
- Ref 4 has a stray bracked in the source
- In ref 26 the author is linked to "Stranger Things" which implies the TV show was tweeting
- The season five table cited various social media posts, was there any reporting on the posts that can be used instead?
- Ping when done Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 16:34, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- @OlifanofmrTennant: Done! Regarding "cult following", it's not our responsibility to determine if it really has one or not, just to report what the sources say. TheDoctorWho (talk) 17:25, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- Add a language variant template.
- Parent article Stranger Things has Mystery genre on infobox, but it's not included here.
- Instead of
[[showrunners]]
use[[showrunner]]s
. Same for feature films as well. - Could have a ref for the series synopsis.
- Comma (,) after "In February 2022".
- 81 wins out 256 nominations isn't "several".
- "has a spin-off series in development".
- There shouldn't be a comma (,) before "and".
- What's the reason for having
List of Stranger Things episodes
withinincludeonly
tags in the overview table, they link to the same. - Could add the "Chapter" prefixes to the remaining of s5 episode titles as well, they're confirmed in the ref 15.
- Are all 5 refs in ref 18 & 19 are needed, they do seem a bit OVERKILL.
That's all I got. Vestrian24Bio 13:25, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- @Vestrian24Bio: I've fixed a most things you've mentioned above, but would like to clarify others. Changing the links as mentioned would be a clear of WP:NOTBROKEN and the series synopsis doesn't need a citation per MOS:PLOTSOURCE. The definition of "several" is
more than two but not many
, which seems like the case here. 81 is several for a television series regardless of it was nominated for 90 or 500, especially in the context of the list where the two numbers aren't listed in relation to each other. The point of the includeonly tags has to do with the transclusion of that table to Stranger Things. And yes, that many sources are needed per MOS:ACCLAIMED. They are grouped however, to avoid a WP:REFBOMB. Everything else has been addressed as listed. TheDoctorWho (talk) 08:17, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]- @TheDoctorWho:
- In the overview table, the title can be placed without the
includeonly
tags, I also checked some FL episode lists to make sure. - Point 5 remains.
- Three occurrences of point 8 remains.
- Point 10..?
- In the overview table, the title can be placed without the
- Everything else is okay. Vestrian24Bio 08:51, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- @Vestrian24Bio: Sorry, I was in a rush when replying last night. Wrapping them in includeonly tags is used at a number of FL episode lists, including ones that were recently promoted (List of Magnum P.I. (2018 TV series) episodes, List of Brooklyn Nine-Nine episodes, List of Better Call Saul episodes). This is also in accordance with the guidance laid out in the template instructions at {{Series overview}}. Point 5 has been fixed. The remaining commas before "and" appear to all be either after dates (MOS:DATEFORMAT) or as a serial comma (MOS:OXFORD), both of which are acceptable uses. The issue with the "chapter" prefixes is that, while confirmed in Ref 26, most refs ([2], [3], [4], [5], [6]) including from Netflix don't use them. That source is the outlier and since there's a discrepancy we're sticking with the majority for now. TheDoctorWho (talk) 18:04, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- Reference date format is consistent
- Works consistently cited
- No missing authors
- Hyperlinks used where applicable
Reference formatting almost all looked good, but I removed a comma from the work in one case to bypass the redirect. Support. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:46, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for that! TheDoctorWho (talk) 16:52, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
