[edit]

Hello, Writes by rohan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Will Buxton did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  Tacyarg (talk) 15:41, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. Request reason:

After reading all the guidelines thoroughly i have found my mistake that i put two non relevant links of third party sites to the Wikipedia pages which led to vandalism. I accept the mistake and promise to create no such nuisance after this. It would mean a lot to me to get a second chance. Writes by rohan (talk) 13:13, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I don't believe that you have read all the guidelines. But, anyway, could you propose a constructive edit to an article? It should include a WP:Reliable source. PhilKnight (talk) 13:40, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @PhilKnight
Thank you for your feedback. I’ve taken the time to review Wikipedia’s guidelines, especially those related to reliable sources and verifiability. As a constructive step, I’d like to suggest the following addition to the Auto transport in the United States article:

“According to a 2023 industry report by IBISWorld, the auto transport sector in the U.S. generated over $12 billion in revenue, driven largely by the rise in online vehicle purchases and long-distance relocations.”

Source: IBISWorld – Automobile Towing in the US Industry Report (OD6053), 2023IBISWorld is a widely used and reputable provider of industry research, and I understand it meets Wikipedia’s standards for reliable sourcing. I'm committed to making helpful, policy-compliant contributions and hope this demonstrates my good-faith intent to improve the encyclopedia constructively. This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Writes by rohan (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Please provide a reason as to why you should be unblocked.
Change {{unblock}} to {{unblock | reason=your reason here ~~~~}}

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=original unblock reason |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=original unblock reason |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=original unblock reason |accept = accept reason here ~~~~}}

Could you post at the bottom of the page? It's easier to follow. I suggest you read WP:CITE and use a citation template for the source. PhilKnight (talk) 14:21, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@PhilKnight
Hi, I’ve included the suggested edit along with a properly formatted citation using the {{cite web}}: Empty citation (help) template, as advised. Could you please take a look and let me know if this is appropriate? I want to make sure I’m on the right track before moving forward.
Thanks again for your time and guidance. Writes by rohan (talk) 14:26, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Daniel Quinlan: - how do you feel about a possible unblock? PhilKnight (talk) 14:27, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@PhilKnight: @Asilvering: I'm concerned that this account posted several links associated with other accounts blocked for spamming. On WhatsApp snooping scandal, it was this domain. That page was not particularly actively edited until the spam ring started hitting it several days ago. Shortly before that, there were two attempts to add this other domain. In addition, this user's first edit in February was to remove a different domain in Auto transport broker followed directly by an IP address adding the same auto shipping domain: [3] and [4]. Finally, the user's significant edits appear like AI-generated text: [5], [6], [7], and [8]. That may also apply to the appeal text. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 16:53, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding AI generation, it certainly does. We have the ready comparison of this editor's previous unblock requests. @Writes by rohan, I have to ask: why do you want to edit wikipedia? -- asilvering (talk) 17:06, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Asilvering
I appreciate your reaching out. Truthfully, one of my goals is to edit Wikipedia precisely because it has always stood out as one of the most useful information sources on the Internet. It is helpful to me, whether I am searching for a quick fact, researching a topic, or wanting to learn something new. Over the years, there have been many places where I thought I could contribute something valuable, particularly in areas I am knowledgeable about, such as auto transport, business, and current industry developments.
Mostly, I neglected to pay attention to the details like formatting and sourcing structures and now I realize that I should have taken those steps prior to making edits—well, that was my mistake. I’ve now read through the core principles guides like WP:V, WP:NPOV, and WP:RS and I know now that there is no marketing here—what exists is reliable, neutral, and verifiable facts.
I want to openly say that my intention is to be personally helpful here, I respect the term balance and work that goes into crafting accurate pages on Wikipedia. Writes by rohan (talk) 07:56, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Adding a quick note: a sleeper account was found, registered 28 minutes after this account was first warned by MrOllie. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 21:31, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Daniel Quinlan
On a final note, I really like to appreciate your work and replies on my stuff. I understand what I did but I have long way to come so thanks to you and other members @Asilvering and especially @PhilKnight to give me a chance to cover my vandalism stuff. I will always look forward to you guys till the day I completely understand the basis for that can you ping with the major pages that I should read to get started and is important to me as a lesson. Writes by rohan (talk) 21:42, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And the other account that you mentioned was of my colleague Fahad i didn't want to control that it was just on the same IP or wifi my computer was.Btw that some good reasearch great guys. Writes by rohan (talk) 21:44, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
