[edit] Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Joan Fleming. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Eleanor Catton
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! Sorry that one of your first experiences was being told a draft article was underreferenced…this is actually not uncommon. I'm happy to help out and move it to mainspace once it's improved a bit. Just looking at your username – you're not Joan Fleming yourself, are you? There are conflict of interest problems with creating or improving an article about oneself. It might be best to be hands off if that's the case. Just on a related note, do you have a published source for the information about where Eleanor Catton now lives? Every bit of information in a article about a living person has to be based on a reliable, independent source, for obvious reasons. Anyway, feel free to reply on my Talk page or drop me a message if I can help. —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 19:59, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
