Speedy deletion nomination of Category:1964 disestablishments in North Carolina
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Category:1964 disestablishments in North Carolina indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 18:59, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Request for Guidance on WKLR-FM (Toledo, Ohio) History
[edit]Hello Wcquidditch,
Thank you for the time and care you’ve taken reviewing and refining the WKLR and WKKO Wikipedia pages. I truly appreciate your role in upholding Wikipedia’s standards.
I’m reaching out respectfully regarding the content recently removed about **WKLR-FM in Toledo, Ohio**. I worked at the station in **1967** as an on-air DJ under the name *Motivating Mark Lawrence*. During that time, WKLR-FM was broadcasting soul and R&B music as “Super Soul KLR” and later became known as “KOOLER Radio.” The station played a pioneering role in Toledo’s African-American radio landscape and eventually evolved into WKKO.
My intent is not to self-promote, but rather to ensure this important chapter of Toledo’s cultural and broadcasting history is accurately documented. I now understand some of the original material may have lacked proper sourcing or neutrality — and I respect that entirely.
I’d be sincerely grateful for your guidance on how to correctly format and source a page titled **WKLR-FM (Toledo, Ohio)**, so it meets Wikipedia’s standards while still acknowledging the DJs and programming that defined that era. I’m happy to provide third-party citations from FCC records, WKKO’s own historical references, the Toledo Library blog, and potentially archived Toledo Blade articles.
If you have a moment, I’d truly welcome your input on how we might preserve this legacy the right way — or if you’d be open to collaboration.
With thanks and appreciation,
- Mark Lawrence Vosko**
