List of France international footballers (1–4 caps)
[edit]Following your logic, then you also have to PROD the following articles: List of Albania international footballers (1–24 caps), List of Austria international footballers (1–24 caps), List of Belgium international footballers (1–4 caps), List of Belgium international footballers (5–20 caps), List of Denmark international footballers (1–24 caps), List of England international footballers with one cap, List of England international footballers (2–3 caps), List of England international footballers (4–9 caps), List of Norway international footballers with one cap, List of Norway international footballers (2–9 caps), List of Norway international footballers (10–24 caps), List of Scotland international footballers with one cap, List of Scotland international footballers (2–3 caps), and List of Scotland international footballers (4–9 caps).
Therefore, you have to either remove your PROD from France, or you PROD all of the above. There is no middle ground. Simple as that. Kind regards. Barr Theo (talk) 21:59, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Barr, I appreciate the well-researched reply. I agree that if List of France international footballers (1–4 caps) deserves deletion under my rationale, so do all of these. I still think that only the "List of [Country] international footballers" articles satisfy WP:NLIST, not these side articles for those with fewer appearances than the parent page cuts off at. However, if the practice is so widespread, it clearly deserves discussion with a WP:MULTIAFD, so I have retracted the PROD and will prepare that. ViridianPenguin🐧 (💬) 22:13, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- @ViridianPenguin: “Hi Barr”, I’m pretty sure that this is first time someone refers to me simply as “Barr”. Usually, it is “Barr Theo” or even “Theo”.
- “Well-researched reply”, bro, I didn’t have to research anything. It’s all in {{Template:International footballers}}
- “I will prepare that”, it’s been a month, dude. Are you going to do it or what? I would like to know if these pages are eligible for Wikipedia before I spent +4 hours creating List of France international footballers (5–19 caps).
- Kind regards. Luis7M (talk) 01:39, 31 May 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amazon Callao FC
[edit]This was a poor close IMHO. It should have been draftify OR redirect, not both. GiantSnowman 20:40, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman Appreciate the feedback! Can you explain why it should not be both when Template:R with possibilities exists to facilitate such redirects to the broader topic until the draft is ready for mainspace? This is a genuine question, as I have not had much occasion to draftify content in my new page patrolling. ViridianPenguin🐧 (💬) 21:21, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- Because somebody clicking on Amazon Callao FC will be redirected, and if they click the redirect, there is no indication that Draft:Amazon Callao FC exists. Therefore, there is a very high risk that a well meaning editor will overwrite the redirect, leaving us with two articles on the same topic, which will be a nightmare to tidy up when somebody realised. - You've only used R with possibilities after I flagged this issue with you, I see. GiantSnowman 06:38, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- Apologies, I only meant to ask whether Template:R with possibilities makes it acceptable to draftify the existing content and convert the page to a redirect for the time being, not pretend that I had done that from the outset. Based on your response, the answer seems yes. Thanks for the clarification and enjoy your vacation! ViridianPenguin🐧 (💬) 12:41, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
