Hi Tom! Sorry to bother you, but I came across this article on Wikipedia, and I believe it may be defamatory. Since I’ve noticed you handle similar topics really well, I’d appreciate your opinion on it. I feel it might not be appropriate for Wikipedia. 5.92.59.74 (talk) 16:44, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll try and have a look at it. There's a lot of material there—is there anything in particular that's of concern?
One issue that arises at first glance with both this spun-off article and the main article on Brown (as well as lots of articles across Wikipedia dealing with celebrities and pop culture figures) is the reliance on entertainment media sources. There's three citations to TMZ, four to People Magazine, four to E! News, and five to Rolling Stone. That's potentially concerning in terms of Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living people.
For the various parts of the article that refer to matters that are now over, sources that are based on what actually went on in court (or in written submissions etc.) are going to be higher on the pecking order than "sources close to the investigation tell us" type rumours from outlets like TMZ or People. (This mirrors what WP:RSP says about both TMZ and People, incidentally.) —Tom Morris (talk) 12:12, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
