Hello, OpalYosutebito, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Specifying Area codes for places with only one area code

[edit]

As in this edit, you have changed the infobox settlement parameter to say "Area codes" (plural) for a community that has only one Area code. Category:Pages using infobox settlement with possible area code list specifies that it is "possible" that there are multiple area codes. Your authority to use AWB rests on the premise that you are reviewing every single edit you make using the automated tool, yet it seems clear from the multiple such errors that you are not doing so, nor does the speed with which you are saving articles make it possible that you are doing so. Per WP:AWBRULES: "You are responsible for every edit made. You are expected to review every edit, just as if you were making an edit using Wikipedia's edit form when editing by hand. Do not sacrifice quality for speed, and review all changes before saving." Alansohn (talk) 21:48, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Minor barnstar
Thank you so much for cleaning up Category:Pages using infobox settlement with possible area code list! That task has been open for 7 years, so it's great that you're doing it now! — hike395 (talk) 02:39, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! The process is a lot slower now that I'm trying to be more careful, but it will be done! - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat02:41, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know about {{force singular}} ? If you know that a field is singular, you can remove the article from the tracking category by using that template. — hike395 (talk) 02:53, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be sure to use that once I'm done with the majority of the articles (aka, the ones that ARE duplicates! :D ) - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat02:54, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Login should be working now. Let me know if it is not. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:05, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's working! :D I'll let you know if anything else happens - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat18:09, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm logged in, but it's not letting me edit. Maybe my mdwiki account is too new? Regardless of that, thanks for letting me know! - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat18:11, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Railway stations in Australia closed in 1867 indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 00:52, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
