GA Reviews
[edit]I was coming to your talk page to see if you participated at the Good Article project too and then I saw the icons strung across the top of your user page like Christmas garland. Anyway, I have recently submitted this article – 2022 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic – to GA (among others). It's a pretty simple article, but I think it has a great hook because it's the competition where Ilia Malinin first performed his Quadruple Axel, and he is literally the only person on Earth who can perform one. If you have the time and wouldn't mind taking a look, I'd appreciate it. Also, I have another FS article up at FL, too. It's Grand Prix de France (figure skating). Thanks! Bgsu98 (Talk) 22:12, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Bgsu98: Apologies it's taken me so long to respond. My AuDHD gets the better of me more than I'd like to admit, and although I had plans to get to this sooner it ultimately took me ten days. I also admittedly have to say that most of those icons were articles written rather than reviewed. I feel like I suck at reviewing GA's, especially in topic areas I'm not familiar with, compared to content creation. Although I have taken on a few GAR's, that's why I typically (and more recently I'd say) try to give back in the form of reviews at FLC. I can focus on specific areas I specialize in there, even if it's not a familiar topic area.
- That said, as you know, I did finally make it around to reviewing Grand Prix de France, and I'd be more than happy to review any FAC's of yours (either drop me a message here, or I have the FAC page on my watchlist, and will likely see anything in due time). However, I'm not sure how well I'd succeed at taking on that GAN, knowing that I don't know anything about the related MOS. I did notice though that you have The Amazing Race 1 sitting at GAN. I'm a little sidetracked currently with Doctor Who series 15 and its related episode article(s) at the moment, but the finale is next Saturday, so if TAR1 hasn't been reviewed by then (likely the second week of June, time to wrap up DW15, plus my upcoming art gallery show) I may take that on. [edit]Request for FAC help
[edit]Hello again. I hope you are doing well and having a good day so far. Apologies for the random message. I was wondering if you could help with my current FAC for an article about a character from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics? I completely understand if you do not have the time or interest. I hope you have a great rest of your week and best of luck with everything both on- and off-Wiki! Aoba47 (talk) 01:45, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- Just left a few comments, honestly had trouble finding things to mention with how perfect it already stands!
TheDoctorWho (talk) 07:05, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your help and for your kind words! I really do appreciate that. I hope that you are doing well today. Aoba47 (talk) 15:43, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
Sorry for the double-reply here. Thank you for the edits to the Private Practice season 1 article. I would imagine that will likely go through the WP:FLRC process one day. I can't remember if I asked you this already so apologies if this is a repeat, but I had formatted citations for this article in my sandbox. Since I do not plan on working on this article further, do you think that it would be helpful to post this more complete set of sources to the article talk page? Aoba47 (talk) 20:25, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- No worries! I'd agree that an FLRC is imminent there, particularly with the discussion at WT:FLC. I think placing those on the talk page where other editors might notice them would be very useful! My immediate plan is to take List of Private Practice episodes to FLC, that list transcludes references from the season 1 article, which is why I cleaned up those references. List of Grey's Anatomy episodes and List of Station 19 episodes are already FL's, so this would be the last LoE in the Grey's franchise. TheDoctorWho (talk) 21:14, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the link to the WT:FLC discussion. I will place the sources on the talk page sometime later today. Hopefully, it would help any editors who are interested in further working on the page. It would also make it hopefully easier for them as the citations are already formatted and archived.
- Best of luck with the Private Practice episode list. It would be nice to have all of the Grey's LoE at FL status, especially since I doubt that there will be any further spin-offs or shows set in that universe. There were some reports on a potential Private Practice revival, but I doubt that would actually happen. Maybe it is because I have not kept up with Grey's in over a decade now (which is wild!), it feels like that franchise is more so winding down, which is rather bittersweet.
- Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help with the Private Practice episode list. Aoba47 (talk) 00:35, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for dropping those references on there! I may eventually get around to trying to get season 1 at least up to GA (I'm a little sidetracked with other projects at the moment, though).
- There were actually a few rumors circling a few years ago about a third spin-off, but nothing substantial has come of it since. Station 19 is a great watch too, if you're looking for something shorter (105 episodes compared to Grey's' ~450), but there are several crossover plots at times that might occasionally make it difficult to keep up with if you haven't seen Grey's recently. DYK for The Robot Revolution
[edit]On 17 May 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The Robot Revolution, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the robotic costumes used in the Doctor Who episode "The Robot Revolution" were 3D printed in thirty-four different pieces before being assembled? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Robot Revolution. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, The Robot Revolution), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

My Name Is Earl
[edit]Hi, I noticed you cleaned up the references and endnote on My Name Is Earl, that had the same name, but supposedly different content. My intention here was to define the endnote content on each season page so that it would transclude into the list of episodes page in as one note (the same way multiple references can be transcluded across pages with the same content). After you cleaned it up, I tried it again using just seasons 3 and 4, but I'm already getting an error on the episode page. Are you able to tell me why when the content on both pages in regards to that is identical? TheDoctorWho (talk) 21:27, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- The best way that I can figure to fix the "duplicate" references is to change each seasons page reference to a short reference, e.g. in each seasons page, change the full reference from:

Hello, TheDoctorWho. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect

GA Question
[edit]How do I add a co-nominator to a GA? Bgsu98 (Talk) 20:02, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Bgsu98: The generally accepted way is to add it into the nomination template as a note, like this:
{{subst:GAN|subtopic=television|note=Co-nominated with [[User:Bgsu98]]}}
. - That note will transclude to WP:GAN, similar to how my nominations of "The Story & the Engine" and "The Interstellar Song Contest" currently look.
- It's important to note that by doing this, no official counts or formal records are kept, besides what would be in the history of the respective talk page. By that I mean that the co-nominator won't receive credit for the GA on Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by good article nominations or Toolforge, nor will they receive talk page notifications when the nomination is reviewed, placed on hold, passed, or failed. TheDoctorWho (talk) 20:35, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you; I wanted to add a co-editor from the Amazing Race project on my GA nomination of The Amazing Race 1. Bgsu98 (Talk) 21:30, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Bgsu98: Since that article has already been nominated, I believe you should be able to just append
note=Co-nominated with [[User:Example]]
to the end of the template, to prevent your nomination from resetting in the queue. TheDoctorWho (talk) 21:34, 30 May 2025 (UTC)- That's what I did; thank you for your help! Bgsu98 (Talk) 21:35, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
