Please do not use IOSR Journals as a reference as they are a predatory publisher, not a reliable source - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 10:23, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- Why remove everything? Are these Journals IOSR too:
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC. (2012). Infant lead poisoning associated with use of tiro, an eye cosmetic from Nigeria--Boston, Massachusetts, 2011. MMWR. Morbidity and mortality weekly report, 61(30), 574-576.
- Bascom, W. R. (1949). Literary style in Yoruba riddles. The Journal of American Folklore, 62(243), 1-16. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 10:51, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Egba people, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 02:28, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 02:37, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
Hello. Your recent edit to Akoko appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:42, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- Am truly sorry. The notable persons without a Wikipedia page are from the older generation, and do not value this medium. Will follow your guideline and try to create a page for those that meet the criteria. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 12:01, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:45, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- I didn't directly add those contents, but @Fregwamu did. See the history: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Warri_South&diff=prev&oldid=1232422987. I only edited the malicious parts from the same user, citing "ogbe/ijoh" to be in Warri South, whereas it is in Warri South-West. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 18:31, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello OmoIyaLeke! Your additions to Egba people have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:32, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- Okay. I would paraphrase and remove Land abundance and economic institutions: Egba land and slavery, as a source. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 18:49, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Akoko Edo. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sangsangaplaz (Talk to me! I'm willing to help) 11:51, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- I am begun the process of engaging the user with evidence. Thank you. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 12:08, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Egba United Government, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Egba. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:56, 29 December 2024 (UTC)

- The page was temporarily locked, because of similar distortions, so I did not see the need to involve the moderators. I tried to discuss with the individual on ways to solve the current impasse , but they refused my suggestions. Anyway, I will heed your counsel. Thank you. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 20:44, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
I saw you reverting the LTA again at Ada and Abere but you created a bit of a problem at Adà vbé Ebén. I had intended to tag it for deletion under WP:G5 but since you restored the text there I'm not sure if I can tag it as such any more. On another note I have seen you restore Ada and Abere several times so you are familiar with this person. When this happens, feel free to report them at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Miyanky445. I have already done so for the latest account. TornadoLGS (talk) 02:46, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry if I came across as rude there. I have asked for that page to be deleted at the SPI page. TornadoLGS (talk) 02:50, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- I split the two pages, because they were causing issues. The Yoruba can work with the Ada and Abere, while the Benin people can use the Adà vbé Ebén page. I had proposed similar solutions to pages with conflicting histories and opinions. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 03:51, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Looks like all of the disruption of that sort to this page has been the work of one person abusing multiple accounts. We should give them no quarter just for that. Splitting it would just be a WP:CFORK anyway. TornadoLGS (talk) 16:00, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, but I expect them to be back. They have and will continue to pollute the page. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 17:47, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- The page now has extended confirmed move protection until next January, and extended confirmed edit protection can be applied if there is more disruption. I have asked for such protection to be applied indefinitely, but I understand that is kind of a big ask. TornadoLGS (talk) 18:51, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

An article you recently created, Ogun State Traditional Councils, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dan arndt (talk) 01:33, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Okay. I have resubmitted the article. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 02:01, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
