[edit] This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary again, as you did at Next Management, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Theroadislong (talk) 19:18, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- The NextManagement Wikipedia page has been vandalized by an individual who repeatedly redirected the page to Jean-Luc Brunel's page. When I attempted to revert these unauthorized changes and protect our company page from further vandalism, it appears my actions may have been misinterpreted. WHAT HAPPENED: - Someone edited the Next Management Wikipedia page to redirect it to Jean-Luc Brunel's page - This redirection is inappropriate and misleading, as NextManagement is a distinct entity - I attempted to revert these changes to restore proper company information - I was seeking to request semi-protection for the page to prevent future vandalism - My account was subsequently blocked CLARIFICATION: - I was not engaging in promotional editing for personal gain - I was attempting to maintain factual, neutral information about NextManagement - The redirection to Jean-Luc Brunel's page appears to be vandalism or inappropriate editing NEXTManagement (talk) 19:39, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. - Note that there was no vandalism, but rather a consensus-based decision to redirect the page. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Next Management. --ZimZalaBim talk 20:17, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm the admin who placed the block, and I'd like to explain some things about how Wikipedia works and why this block was placed. First and foremost, Wikipedia, unlike many other websites and social media outlets, does not allow for any equivalent of "verified accounts". Every editor is equal to every other editor, and no one editor has editing authority over any article, even if they're the subject of the article in question. As such, there is no such thing as an "unauthorized change", as you put it--by design, there is no authority to make that decision.
- Furthermore, we also do not allow what we call "role accounts", which are editing accounts that represent a company or organization, or a role or position in an organization. Again, this is different from what you may be used to, with things like an "official Twitter account" or "official Facebook page" belonging to a company. Here, every user account must represent a specific person, and cannot be passed around between different people. This is one of the primary reasons this account was blocked; with the username "NEXTManagement", it is clear that this account was intended to represent the organization NEXT Management, and not any individual person. If you want this account to be unblocked, you will first need to propose a new username, one that clearly identifies that this account belongs to a specific person, and not to the company as a whole, or to a role at that company. So, for example, "Media head manager at NEXT Productions", in addition to being a mouthful, would also be prohibited by our rules, since that indicates a role at a company, rather than a specific person.
- Compounding that, you've also most likely run afoul of the rules on undisclosed paid editing. It's a fairly safe assumption that, given your username and edit history, you're employed by NEXT Management, yes? If so, you need to read WP:PAID, and follow the disclosure requirements listed on that page. If you are editing Wikipedia as part of your job, then you fall under those disclosure requirements, which are non-optional and non-negotiable, as they are part of the Wikimedia Terms of Use. Even then, while editing the article of a company you're employed by is not strictly forbidden, it is very heavily discouraged, due to the inherent conflict of interest that arrangement creates. It is strongly recommended that you do not edit the article directly, instead making edit requests on the article talk page. And regardless of the form the edits take, editing with the intent of promoting the subject will not be tolerated.
- Finally, to explain the specific situation here a bit further, as ZimZalaBim mentions above, the reason this article in particular was redirected is due to the consensus reached at the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Next Management discussion page; you can review that discussion for the reasoning. (While you do, please keep in mind that, as with most discussions on Wikipedia, deletion discussions are not a raw vote; the strength of arguments carries the day, not the number of voters.) Therefore, the change to this article converting it into a redirect was correct and intentional, and to change that decision, you would have to either a) completely rewrite the article from scratch, in a neutral tone and with solidly reliable sources (almost certainly by using the Articles for creation process to have the draft reviewed before overwriting the redirect), or b) successfully overturn the AfD decision at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Both approaches would require you to be unblocked first, and honestly, neither is particularly likely to succeed, but assuming you make a convincing unblock request, they are avenues that are open to you. Let me know if you have any further questions, Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 20:52, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

- Okay, thanks for understanding. I'll reformat your message as an official unblock request, and just note that I don't have an objection to an unblock under those terms. Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 12:17, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

- I have renamed your account. Another uninvolved admin will review your unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 17:37, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- I'm open to an unblock. Would you be able to read WP:PAID first, then place the payment disclosure template below? Someone can then move it to your userpage before unblocking. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:08, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
