Closure of Mazi Melesa Pilip deletion discussion

Hi Luke10.27! During the deletion discussion for Mazi Melesa Pilip, I think you may have made a mistake in the decision to close. You stated that there was only one !vote support deletion or rediction, but I see two (mine and Woko Sapien's). I am hoping you can correct that for the sake of accuracy. Also, while I agree with you that there was overwhelming support for keeping the article, it did not meet the standard required by the snowball test: "resulting decision is unanimous." Your close was fine. As everyone agrees, there was overwhelming support for keeping the article. Tbrechner is referring to an essay. It is not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines. Categories

Hello, Luke10.27,

As you can see from the messages on your talk page, Wikipedia doesn't keep around empty categories unless they fall into a narrow range of exceptions (WikiProject categories, category redirects or categories being discussed at WP:CFD). Please do not create categories before you are ready to put them to use and also make sure that they fit into the existing, very complex category hierarchy on the project.

If you have questions, you can bring them to the Teahouse and there might be some experienced editors who have familiarity with category creation and category usage. Good luck. Liz Read! Talk! 07:17, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.

About the Sera sky burial site.

The vultures being semi tame was my own observation from February 1985. Cadaver was first cut and bones crushed with mallets (depressions in the rock...). The person doing the cutting then held the liver high in the air and called to birds in. As I have not published this anywhere (have pictures also) I can not make a citation... I have seen sky burials also at Larung Gar and Yarchen Gar, but they were not nearly as elaborate and the birds well behaved.
