[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Tiruvannamalai district, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 07:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi Jaiprakash partha! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Tiruvannamalai district that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 07:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

Indic Script
[edit] - Please do not add any Indic script, to any of our India related articles, as you did at Tirupati, as this contravenes WP:NOINDICSCRIPT - Thank you. If you made similar changes elsewhere, remove it. I've remove some of them - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:07, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Undiscussed moves
[edit]Please do not make undiscussed page moves, such as you did at Dravidian architecture. "Dravidian" covers a larger area than "South Indian". - Arjayay (talk) 14:08, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- But under those they are constructed by tamils i not directly mention them so i used south india 2409:40F4:AA:5740:8000:0:0:0 (talk) 14:10, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- It does not matter: you need to stop. Drmies (talk) 15:31, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Warning
[edit]You're making a large number of undiscussed moves. If you don't stop, you will be sanctioned. See the instructions at WP:RM to open move discussions and use that instead. --RegentsPark (comment) 15:57, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Per Wikipedia:Requested moves, you must not move articles unilaterally if there has been any prior discussion of the article title. Please follow the proper process. DrKay (talk) 21:10, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, you may be blocked from editing. If there has been previous discussion of an article title that article must not be moved without a new discussion. DrKay (talk) 10:34, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
Arani, Tiruvannamalai
[edit]Please don't move this page without establishing consensus first. "Thiruvannamalai" is neither the WP:COMMONNAME in English language sources, nor the official name used by Tamil Nadu government. There is simply no standing to move the page to this spelling without a discussion first. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 10:08, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
- thi is only used in this town fully im I living here I know which is used 2409:40F4:1036:5E03:8000:0:0:0 (talk) 10:11, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
- Then prove it in a discussion (WP:RM) first. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 10:12, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
